  • Delightfully different!

I found this film to be a fresh look at the theory of parallel dimensions. The pacing is creative and deliciously creepy. The horror of the situation slowly crept up on me like a tarantula climbing up my leg. The acting was superb! Very realistic! Bravo to all in involved in this incredibly intriguing film!

  • Deliciously Devilish Film

Rarely have I ever witnessed such a remarkable film such as this. This indie could not have been put together any better by any studio in town. It has "hit" written all over it. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the movie. I loved every aspect of it. The cinematography was spectacular. The acting superb. The directing, editing, lighting first rate. The music was mesmerizing. Kudos to this production. It is priceless!

  • Funny, Scary, Clever Fantasy

One of the funniest...and scariest...short films in the fantasy genre there is on the planet. You must see this. Spawned by a couple of the cleverest minds in the business...Ryan Stockstad and Jon Rosenburg. It was pure joy to work on this short film with such talented actors. At times I actually thought I was living back in ancient times, when monsters walked the earth. Not that we don't have them now, but they didn't wear 3 piece suits back then. Considering the budget was so low that we had to eat peanut butter sandwiches without jelly, making it almost impossible to utter a coherent sentence,it is a miracle this ever got made. But, I am relieved by the dawning realization that this wicked wet dream is now a reality. Pester the director/producer until he makes it possible for the rest of humanity to enjoy it As we lucky few have.

  • Dennis Harvey of VARIETY Loved It and So Do I!

Dennis Harvey, respected film critic for VARIETY, the top Hollywood trade publication, gave The Double-D Avenger a very positive film review in 2001, and I fully agree with his opinion. He stated in his written review for Variety that the movie was a "cheerfully silly ode to larger than life femininity." Essentially the movie is the one and only reunion film of Russ Meyer's famous stars, and it's a silly, fun little farce! A total low-budget spoof. It is not a pornographic film, it is a Benny Hill type z-grade comedy.

The film's been a huge financial success for the producer William Winckler, and it's sold all over the world . . .there is a French language version, a Japanese language version, etc. . Many fans see it as the unofficial "last Russ Meyer film." If you want to watch a happy, goofy, fun B-movie, this is it! If you're looking for porn, or soft core, or are expecting a $ 200 million dollar Hollywood epic, look elsewhere.

  • Party funny, no foul

This is one of the funniest comedies I have seen in awhile, with a very nice flow to it and it never drags. In fact the only drag in it is mine, where I appear as Bubba, the pathetic princess in search of a prince. Even though I crawled under my seat during that segment of the movie I could hear the warm laughter wash over me, reassurance that I could still eat lunch in this town...with or without my negligee. Hy hat is off and my skirt is up to Ryan and Aaron who wrote and directed this cute and endearing comedy. However, I will never be without my pants again. I hope to be in the sequel, but as a lumberjack next time. Bravo to all involved in this rare treat!!!
