You generally know what you are getting with a Sandler film. A low brow, routine production that plays to one or more communities.

I watched this on a recommendation, so that proves that there is an audience for this sort of thing.

What I saw was a by-the-numbers production with everything comfortably telegraphed and a predictable and comfortable ending. I skipped through most of it as it is just a simple story with lots of schmaltz.

I watched as I was expecting something interesting. Maybe not to the level of The Jinx but at least something to make me consider I hadn't completely wasted my time watching.
