Some great characters, reasonable plot twists, exciting stories.
Anna Diop was a real treat as 'Sunfire' with her badass personality and moves, Brenton Thwaites does a reasonable job as the glue holding the gang together with his tortured backstory.
The sound is my biggest problem. All dialog is mumbled requiring me to turn the volume way up, only to frantically scramble for the mute button every time there's a fight, explosion or the title sequence comes on. Waking my entire block disturbing sleeping babies, my neighbours pets and anyone unfortunate enough to live within a quarter mile of my address. It ruined my enjoyment

I watched all eight episodes in one go, it was a delightful experience. Some stunning acting it does what a lot of British drama does at its best blending comic genius with some heartbreaking serious consequences and issues, but never in an overtly preachy manner.
Ever character however superficial they initially appear show great depth and complexity in the course of the story.
The filming locations are very near to where I live, and have been captured beautifully on camera. Symmonds Yat and the Wye Valley are designated areas of outstanding natural beauty, and the director happily used the area to it's full extent.
I've no idea why they decided to go with 1980's cars for everyone whilst at the same time using 2018 mobile phones and laptops , other than that a refreshing amusing and sweet series. I hope it gets another season
I'm not sure I could have fully appreciated the nuances and impact that the story conveyed without having personal experience of family members, and close friends suffering cancer.
Once again Gugu Mbatha-Raw gives us a barnstorming performance, showing a full range of emotions and character flaws. The stages of grief, from bargaining, anger, disbelief, through to expectance beautifully displayed. The whole story arc of trying to control the future for others rang true with my own experiences.
The supporting cast were all on form, especially Christopher Walken & Jacki Weaver, stealing most scenes that they were in with bittersweet irony, and tender emotions.
Ultimately some aspects around the story of the perfect couple together from the age of 8, annoyed me a bit, they just didn't quite seem plausible, but by the end of the film, if you're not bawling your eyes out, you have the emotional range of a teaspoon!
