This is not a bad film, but it is definitely not for everyone. I like Julia Roberts and as usual she gives a good performance. The film itself seems to want to support the premise of the "Me Too Movement". If I were to criticize any aspect of this, I'm sure this review would be waterlogged with numerous negative attacks. Not that I am rejecting the movement, but there are always two sides to.the coin. The idea that one is presumed innocent until proven guilty does not seem to hold up now a days. Regardless, maybe this movie is a bit outdated or too little too late..Some good acting by all, a few nice twists and entertaining enough, but not really outstanding.
This episode seems beyond ridiculous today. Without giving much away, Beaver and his pals agree to wear "monster" type sweat shirts to school and only Beaver shows up in his. The classroom, teacher and principal are in an uproar about the sweat shirt. Ward Cleaver is so angry he can only see red. The episode is almost hilarious now a days because the sweat shirt is really tame. Oh well, that's life.
The concept of the movie is interesting enough. However, the two main stars are way too old and both overplay their roles. Lawrence Olivia evidently was ill when he made the movie..He was extremely thin and gaunt and looked ill. His accent left alot to be desired and his mouth was open most of the time as he probably had breathing issues. Gregory Peck was pretty terrible in this role. He was a "charature" of a Nazi. He way overplayed the role and it was almost comical to watch him. Plus he had a bizarre dye job and his jet black hair and mustache looked ridiculous. The "fight" scene between the two of them was totally over the top and looked ridiculous. The boy who played the "Hitler" clone gave a horrible performance. He just couldn't act. Sorry, the film did nothing for me.
