I must admit, I was so hesitant to go see this movie for so long, but I knew I had to go see it for Chadwick Boseman and, it surpassed all of my expectations honestly. This movie perfectly memorializes Chadwick Boseman and allows his memory to live on. It is a true testament to his character and his hard work and perseverance, and you can really see how much he affected the set, tone, and cast of this movie. It really is the silence that hits the emotions the most and just seeing his presence on the screen knowing that he isn't here physically anymore. This movie truly did him justice and I commend each and every person who worked on this movie as this is one of the few movies I have actually clapped for at the end. Speaking of the end, there is a nice little surprise for everyone! I hope that certain people understand the meaning of this movie and we'll see it as the true masterpiece it is, as it covers so many different bases and emotions. It is quite possibly the only superhero movie that truly humanizes the characters and shows The human experience of morning, grief, moving on, and overcoming suffering and a need for vengeance. It is awesome to see namor finally make his big screen appearance as well, the first mutant is finally here and I can't wait to see what his future is like in the MCU.
I will say that people who are used to super showy superhero films where everybody has powers and such will be a little disappointed if you cannot sit through a movie that has great emotional depth and storytelling. This movie should be at the next Oscars.
Chadwick Boseman is still greatly missed over 3 years since his untimely passing. I truly hope he is getting the rest he deserves and that we see him again someday. Thank you Ryan coogler and company for your tremendous work on this beautiful film.

I really enjoyed this movie and it definitely has some unique animation. The first part has some really creepy looking stop animation with wooly type characters that all look somewhat unsymmetrical, but you get used to it as the animation still shines through crisply. The second part has robust animation that looks more akin to the real world. Third part purrrfectly combines the previous two styles into one final visually pleasing viewing. I would guess this movie has many meanings but the main meaning I took from it was that we leave ourselves in the state of suffering by worrying so much about material gain and also holding on to the past when the future is ahead. He leaves us in purgatory as we are stuck or frozen in place by fear of moving forward. In this vast sea of life we must find our way and just continue going forward rather than backward.
This was a fun movie about a character I have always been fascinated by and I thought it was a pretty fun movie that tried to be like the MCU a little too hard. I still have fun with the movie and the Cameo at the end boosted the score up. I have noticed that some reviewers went into the movie already bashing it before it even came out and some blatantly lied that Black Adam wasn't in the third act when, in fact, he was. This is a movie I would be more than happy to watch again due to its visual effects, action, and the characters introduced. I do think there could have been more vibrant set pieces, but this is an origin story after all and you have to get his home established first before he moves on to other places. This movie makes me want to go out and FINALLY buy all of the Black Adam books/graphic novels there are. IF YOU CAN'T SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING IN THIS MOVIE, you might need to go get your little sniffer checked. But seriously, I am glad that he finally got this movie afloat after 15 long years of being heavily attached to this project and I look forward to seeing what Black Adam has in store for us in the future. The man in Black can't be stopped, not even by the boy in blue.
Can't wait to see what the hierarchy of power will look like in the DC universe now. I just hope they don't continue trying to be like the MCU and find their own distinctive style.
