I'm feeling nostalgic for some better times past and this animated film came to mind primarily because of the game of the same name that I played on Playstation 1 (anyone else?) and I remembered that I've never actually watched this film from start to finish.
So Disney while it was still good. This one is really interesting to me. Strange and unusual choices, that was clear from the very beginning (gospel, really?!), from some parts of the animation to changing the mythology (to make it closer to children?). At the very least, brave decisions, but I'm not sure that they were all right. Several very good memorable musical songs, but I have the impression that the cartoon was a little dark. As for the actors, Woods as the main villain killed the real one and stole the show, and I would also single out DeVito as a great supporting actor, a perfect choice. The main roles were just done well for me, it's not a good sign when they're not in the center.
In the end, it's still a very good cartoon despite some flaws, partly due to nostalgia, although it's not even close to the best Disney cartoons.

Full-blooded body horror in its entirety. An old ailment for women who live off their beauty, youth sooner or later passes and then problems arise. Fortunately, there is a secret cure for that in this film, but with disastrous consequences. Let's start with the main roles, the duo Moore and Qualley are excellent at presenting the public secret of Hollywood, younger is always better. I was even impressed by Quaid in a supporting role, but very effective and a bit unusual for him. Now, let's start with the flaws. The film lasted a long time for me, let's say about 20 minutes for sure, I personally felt it while watching it. It took some time for the film to lay the foundations and basics before it starts with the real story. However, by far the weakest part of the film is definitely the last third, at least if you ask me. The film devolves into a heavy grotesque, I didn't like it at all, although I believe there are people who will be thrilled with that twist (is it a twist at all or just a step up?). In the end I felt a slight disappointment because I expected a little more from a film that was so praised and was Oscar material.
Certainly a controversial film that is definitely not for everyone and not everyone's stomach. I still give it a passing grade because of the first half of the film, it is excellently shot and the acting is at a very good level.

It seemed like a good movie to me, but I was a little disappointed. It doesn't automatically mean it's a bad movie, it's just that I expected a little more. The movie has a very long set-up, almost half the movie passes before the real action starts, so to speak. I understand that this is a satire on society, but I didn't like the final product. I have to praise the lead role of Ralph Fiennes, who was masterful and arguably the best part of the movie. I didn't like the plot at all and maybe the movie was a little pretentious. Too bad about the ending, I didn't really enjoy it.
