Do what you must; avoid The Void.

This movie was generaly and abnormaly bad.

Nothing like The Thing as so many are saying or Assault on Precint 13. This movie is boring. Stupid monster scenes all over the place, everything, everywhere, all at once!

Felt asleep several times...that's not expected to happen in a genre like this, i guess.

Now I don't have much more to say, just that I was expecting much more than this.

I could recommend some good monster movies, like The Thing, Monster Man, Wrong Turn, Troll Hunter, Godzilla, Frankenstein, The Host, An American Werewolf in London, Nightbreed, Pumpkinhead.

  • Ibogain? No, thanx!

As much as they say it is safe, there is no guarantee or legal support for it, no public body that governs this issue allows its use and doctors who prescribe ibogaine can be prosecuted.

In addition to the debate about whether it is really effective, there is still the debate whether it is compensatory, as this substance can generate various adverse and harmful effects on the body.

As the only proven thing is its hallucinogenic power and its adverse reactions, I do not believe that this should be the treatment chosen by those who are really looking for an adequate treatment for addiction.

Ibogaine is still permeated with myths and half-truths, with time I believe that we will have enough studies so that they can hammer out what it would actually be useful for and under what condition, but today it is still not known and to trust the words of a person when science and various public bodies point out that it isn't, it's risky to say the least.

  • disappointing

This movie is very disappointing. It promises a lot, with a tense and funny atmosphere at the beginning. Then a slurry of gibberish begins, with no meaning, no coherence and no interest. At one point, I just wanted to know how it ended. Its a boring movie, with a boring pace. Nothing happens. Its not terror, nor horror. Its not suspense, nor thriller, or action. It's a mix of genres (but in a bad way). The wait for something awful to happen is stupid, cause nothing happens. The ending is very weak and the tension that the story had built at the beggining fades away too soon. It doesnt reach the necessary dramatic tension. Its a slow burn and one of the worst "encounters" I've had with aliens.

  • Boring Lame

This movie is boring and lame.

I can't understand why one of the finest actors of hollywood accepted being part of this crap.

The writing is so very poor...the cliches are all around...its a nonstop hour and a half of cliches.

The songs...arrggghhh!!! The songs are horrible, and the lyrics of the song....they look like letters written by 6 year olds.

I need a good movie....there's only crap this year.... I thought: with hugh Jackman there's no mistake....it has to be a fine movie.... Jesus, was I wrong!!!!!!

  • Fabulous! The best this year!

This movie is amazing, Loved the acting, the pace, slow...but tense. Always captivating the atention. The actors are superb. The story is very different and not straight forward. The light and the camera work is astonishing. The soundtrack....uau! absolutely wonderful. Loved the movie. Its not that easy to follow. The message is not that clear. The director is trying to connect us with "being", trying to deconstruct and integrate yung concepts like: persona, anima and Self. This is not an horror movie. There's no horror. Drama and tension only. Loved It.

  • Absolutely disgusting

Disgusting! 1 - What's the idea with the stupid camera angles? some guys are calling this art! Incredible. How could some guys watch this film thoroughly? 2 - Theres no plot whatsoever. I heard that the actors were told to act randomly and say whatever they wanted. The job was to keep rolling and see where it was heading. Well, it went nowhere. 3 - There are no drugs like that one, that can cause that amount of disruption and to all of the users...it's absolutely ridiculous. 4 - The setting was horrible. It looked just like a garage. 5 - The actors were medíocre. 6 - What's the point of this? none! 7 - Stupid idea. 8 - Disgusting film. 9 - I hated it.

  • This movie sucks big time

This movie sucks big time. It's unbearable. Just guys throwing punches and kicks all of the time..the entire film....all over the place...over and over again. And when you think that the scene is over...wait there's another scene with 30 guys fighting over and over again. The story resumes to this: no story. No acting. Nothing. This is not really a movie. More like a game with changing scenarios when you reach the next level. It's atrocious. I couldn't see it til the end. And the movie is almost 2 hours long! Don't get me wrong. I like action movies and I enjoyed some asiatic action and even horror movies, but this is not a movie. This is something else. And it's bad and boring and repetitive. I bet that noone is capable of watching this entire crap without using the fast forward button!

  • they just forgot to tell a story!

If you want to see fish, colored, all forms of and you do not have time to go to an oceanarium, this might be the movie you're looking for. In the other hand if you like to watch movies that tells a story, forget it all about... This is not the movie you need. Why did Willem Dafoe accepted being part of this ....... movie?! So fine actor...sometimes I just can't understand. He's just there...he trhows 2 or 3 stupid lines and that's it! gosh! deplorable. And Nicole!! Nicole?! what are you doing? I just cant understand! Oh! and spoilers? does this review contain spoilers? Is it possible? What are you talking about? theres nothing to spoil about! They completely forgot about telling a story here.

  • Normal, average...actually a bit boring!

This movie is just average. It's too soft, too slow and almost nothing happens. The acting is just ok. Nothing to remember in years to come. The storyline is way too predictable. The sound effects are almost zero; like the background music. I didn't feel strong emotions in either way...positive or negative. Medium movie with medium feelings associated to it. "GreenBook"; "Moonlight"; "12 Years a Slave"...it seems that Hollywood has found a way to purge American's Guilt over years of opression. These are definitively not oscar material movies!

  • This movie is awsome

I loved this movie in all it's aspects. The acting is very good, especially the main actor, who is superb showing the right emotions (or lack of them) after his life is shaken by traumatic incidents. The plot is very well writen and the timing and pace describs the right predict interest line. The story is always actual as it shows a hard and very hidden reality. And yes, there is some atrocity, cause the reality sometimes (more than we wanted) is also atrocious! I didn't find it slow. But if you think that it is, what's that suppose to mean? Aren't "Paris Texas", "2001 Space Odyssey"; "Fargo"; "There will be blood"; or even "The Godfather" awesome slow paced movies? Also I love Julliet Lewis. So good to watch her again in a movie. Love it.

  • Very good found footage movie

Do you know why are people still making found footage? Well, I'm gonna tell you: Because it is NOT a trash genre and because I (like other million of people) like it a a lot. Actually, I think that people that are not into this kind of movie have bad taste and are incappable of appreciate a good horror movie. Here's the thing i cannot understand: If you know that this film is about found footage, with shaky camera, and that grain immitating the old thing, and You don't like it......WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SEE THIS MOVIE?

  • awful movie

I can't imagine the reason why Michael Ironside accepted being part of this bad excuse for a movie. Its awful. The plot is riddiculous. The acting is so very bad. The tension is almost "0". The ending was totally predictable. The final part, where the mother tries to invert the situation with the other babe is histerical, horrible, almost comic. I really can't imagine the reason why someone would wanna make such a bad movie like this one. I swear I could do better than this; and I never did it, not even once. But worse than this, I think it's not possible...

This movie is awful. The story is awful. The pace is awful. The tension is awful. I totally hated it. I think that I never felt such an urge to stop watching a movie like this time, and I think I didn't do it because of one thought only: "The actors are good, the director is good...there must be something in it..lets give it a try..."..gosh! it never ended...too long...too boring...annoying...irritating. At times I felt I had to scream: horrible! They were always repeating the same idea...over and over again in a two hours movie. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't...not one bit. I hated it. I will never see it again and of course I don't recommend that you watch it.

  • Awesome Soundtrack!

The original "Blade Runner", back in the eighties, is one of the best movies ever (It features in my "top ten ever" list). Not only the mood, visuals, effects, actors, story are good, but the music....all of the sound tracks are absolutely amazing. Again, in my opinion Vangelis - "Blade Runner" is the best Soundtrack ever, the best vangelis album and the best electronic album ever made! That could be the reason why Vangelis didn't participate in this "2049" sequel. A masterpiece like that couldn't be beaten. I figure it must have been hard for the director to chose the right composer for the sequel. Maybe harder than to chose the leading actor - Gosling delivered very well, by the way. So, I was in a very high expectation state about this aspect, but when the movie started I immediately relaxed, because you could feel the same ambient and deepness which facilitated the immersion in the movie and eased the link with the previous one. I loved the soundtrack. It's absolutely majestic and great and one of the most interesting aspects about this film. It's also very present, from the beginning to the end, and you feel that it is vital to the movie that it happens that way. I watched it in an 3D IMAX Theatre. The image was astonishing and the sound....incredible. The Perfect setting for the Perfect movie. About the story and the asthetics, I loved the visual effects, the wardrobe, the city ambient, the light, the pace, the actors, everything. And I must highlight, that I'm not a R. Gosling fan, but he was very, very good, and very convincing. The right actor for the part, no doubt about it. I loved Harrison Ford's acting also. So convincing. So good! But I must say that the original movie is more Epic, more convincing, more incredible in almost all of the chapters and aspects. I loved the movie, and give it a 10. But I would love to "see" what Vangelis could have done! Nevertheless, like the original, this sequel is also a brilliant masterpiece!

  • Is Tom Cruise on...something weird?

What happened with Tom Cruise? One of the fine actors of Hollywood suddenly doesn't know what to do with his hands and his mouth? Deplorable acting performance. This movie tries to combine comedy with action. The action parts are not bad and Tom is not bad at that, but the humor is simply not there. It's difficult not to think and compare this movie with the mummy trilogy (Brendan Fraser): Same name, similar story, same ambient, same kind of action combined with comedy. But this one is much worse. It's even boring and ludicrous at some parts. Overall, it entertains a little bit, but it could be much, much better - maybe if the plot was better or the main actor was another, other than Tom, who knows...

  • Awesome

This movie is awesome. One of the best pictures I've ever seen. Very strong emotionally. The performances are top notch; all of them. But In my opinion, this is Jessica Chastain's all time best role. She deserved at least an "actress in a leading role" nomination. She achieves a better performance level than Natalie Portman - "jackie", Isabelle Huppert - Elle" or even the winner - Emma Stone in "La La Land". Again, my opinion, of course. The interest prediction on this movie describes an ideal curve, growing strongly from the start till the end. And at the end it explodes in a rainbow of emotions you could never predict. It's absolutely astonishing. Loved it.

  • No Oscar Material here

This movie is not very good. It's an average movie. I can't understand why it won the best picture Oscar. I think the Academy is going too political. I can't understand their decisions and all the gafs and mistakes they make. I used to plant myself in front of the TV during the presentation, late at night, but nowadays i don't even watch the brief version of it next day. It's a total disappointment...like this movie. I've seen much better dramas about the same issues. The movie doesn't envolve enough...sometimes it's even boring. And the final scene is endless..for what? for nothing! The ending...you already know it. No! not good enough! Not even one of the best 10 dramas this year.

  • I don't read books, I watch movies

I don't read books, I watch movies. The only books I read are Comics. Also I don't appreciate people that exhibits vulgar display of power like the ones that posts: "Uh! I prefere the book...oh! the book is much better...OH! you should read the book...Oh! i can read...and yes, I read books, I'm smart...I'm sofisticated". Saying that, I think this movie is great. Loved it. Fassbender is one of the best actors alive. Love all his work. The pace is alright, the cinematography not bad, the story is good. But the drama, the interpretations, the dilemmas, the moral issues, are much more intense than any other movie i saw during the last decade. I think that it's impossible not feel very strong emotions when watching the movie. Actually I think it's impossible not to cry. I only wish that the soundtrack would be more envolving and intense. I mean it's not bad, but there's no "Vangelis" or "Zimmer" material here. And this movie deserves an epic song. It's very very strong. It's very very intense. One of the best dramas I ever saw. And like i said if you don't cry, i find it weird.

  • Loved It

I enjoyed this movie a lot. 2 1/2 hours very well spent. Love Christian Bale and Ramsés was also great. Very fine actors. I think that the score of the movie (6,1) is very low; it deserved more. The special effects are awesome, the ambiance is fantastic. The story is a well known story, only with a perspective somewhat different from the one that we are used to see. The messenger of god had an humanized attitude that I liked. The pests were great in terms of cinematography and you are left with the choice of believing in whatever you decide. You can chose to believe in scientific explanations or you can chose to believe in the work of God, though I was expecting more from the scene were the ocean splits. Overall I loved it.

  • Naked girls made me see it till the end!

This movie is deplorable. I read somewhere that the director was inspired...(I think we can stop here). Inspired? what? this total crap of a movie? inspiration?! don't make me laugh! It's horrible from the beginning to the end. Only thing that made me see it was the girls. Yes, they were gorgeous and they were naked. Nothing else was even fair. The plot is ludicrous. The acting is soooooo bad. Keanu is one of the most terrible actors of all time. He should only be allowed to act on action movies with simple and very few lines to throw. Every time he opens his mouth to speak i cross my fingers...cause the probability of ruining the movie is enormous. There are people commenting on the twist... what twist? there's no twist. And how could there be? there's no plot whatsoever! Ridiculous. He (the Matrix dude!) gets beaten every time by two teens and can't do anything to prevent that!

  • Why was this movie made?

This is a bad movie. When I knew the cast, I thought it had to be good. Experienced actors with a great curriculum of good movies. Well, it started out very bad and it gets worse till the end. A lot of clichés. The same and old ones that everybody saw in thousand of other horror type movies. Bad acting, which surprised me. It seemed that Mathew was not there at all....he was around the movie scene and stopped a while to make some filming. Didn't feel him at all. The plot, it's old and the same one, ever and ever again. The effects are bad and didn't scare one bit. Not even the slamming doors, or the sounds...nothing is capable of scare in this picture. My question is: why someone bothers to do a movie like thousands of other? and why did the actors accept being part of this? I really don't understand. There are a lot of stupid scenes also. It's really not good enough to spend time watching.
