This is one of those shows where some might give up after the first episode because it's a bit of a slow burn in the first episode. However, stick with it and, by episode 3 or 4, it suddenly turns into binge-watch material!
It's a storyline full of twists. Sometimes, maybe too many., but they all resolve by the end. The cast is generally very good. However, it is Michael Pena who absolutely steals the show. His performance, as the lead detective is outstanding.
Well worth watching.

Having just binged my way through Season 5, its time to write a review. Slow Horses is quite possibly the best show on the air/streaming these days. It is just superb.
The cast, led by Gary Oldman, are terrific. The production is great and the writing is top notch. Absolute needle sharp wit from Jackson Lamb (Oldman) zings around.
I am happy to see that Season 6 production has already wrapped and that Seson 7 has been greenlit. And the author of the books, Mick Herron, has just published the 9th book in the series, so long may it continue!

This is a maginificent production, based on the true events of the period. It is clear that no expense was spared in creating the late Medieval world in which these events took place in Central and Eastern Europe. Revolving around the turbulent periord when the Ottoman Turks tried to conquer the region. The narrative is centered sound the life og Janos Hunyadi (The Raven!) and his tireless defence against the OttomanTurks.
A top quality cast, great locations, good and tasteful CGI, great cinenmatography and music. And, as a bonus, all the various antionalities speaking in their own native langauges!
Well worth watching! Superb!
