The series is a far cry from the To All The Boys trilogy. I never really cared for the meddling and hyperactive youngest sister in the movies so it was hard to watch her as a main character in the series and root for her as the protagonist. I would have stopped watching had it not been for Min Ho and hearing the amazing K-pop music. They didn't really develop some of the characters unfortunately and Kitty always focused on herself and her problems with Dae. Also why the need for a poorly developed love square? Don't understand why Kuri was part of the equation because her goal all along was to get a certain someone back. It was poor writing, poorly executed acting except for the lovely Min Ho, cringeworthy scenes, and didn't really have a realistic korean high school experience. It was drama on top of drama on top of drama but lacked the k-drama greatness.
Not another Disney Channel movie.... cant' believe I would ever say this but how is this movie categorized as a Disney Channel movie? It is not appropriate for kids to watch due to underage drinking, partying, adult language and content as well as a specific narrative that is being pushed, and issues blah blah blah. Why can't we just enjoy a movie without getting a narrative pushed at every step? It's another flop for Disney.... Why haven't they taken the hint that nobody asks for this? The plot was nothing special, terrible teenage acting per usual for Disney Channel, trying to rebrand the spectacular 80s movies into promposals with a weird meaning that the ones asking to prom don't listen or take an interest in what girls want in a promposal. Don't waste your time with this movie.
Another flop for Disney+ and of course pushing a specific narrative and their ideology on the viewer. It's not even subliminal messaging at this point. The acting of course is cringeworthy, highly unrealistic for a 16 year old to be a doctor at a hospital while living a "normal" life, and the storylines are not noteworthy. Additionally, the content for this show is not for kids as there is adult content brought up in the first 10 min of the first episode about getting pregnant... and the line came from a 16 year old girl. It's unfortunate that parents now have to be more aware of what their children are watching on Disney+.
