The Big Bang Theory: The Locomotion Interruption (2014)
Negative reviews are the result of people's extremely high expectations, the show is still actually good and I laughed more when I watched each season 8 episode second time.
Review of episode 1 - The Locomotion Interruption.
The show started with a really funny scene with Sheldon and I went like Ha! I knew it! ha ha Sheldon is funny as usual, while I kinda felt sorry for the poor grown up kid in this opening scene.
Amy is weird and funny. She does a good job.
Penny's new hair style is actually quite good and she looked pretty. This change isn't bothering me, she still makes nice jokes.
Raj's character is underused as usual and better writing is required for him. Raj looked kinda angry and serious, not sure why, I guess he need to continue the way he was in previous seasons, as long as he is used little bit more in the show.
Howard is funny and there is a twist in the mother-son relationship.
Bernadette receives attention in this episode and her personality is defined.
The comic book guy Stuart is really surprising in this season, earlier he has always been a depressed lonely and grateful to his friends kind of guy, who does not get angry or stand up on insults. Now its like a whole new Stuart in this season.
Overall, I'd agree that this start of the season is not as good as it had been in earlier seasons but as a big bang theory fan I wouldn't criticize it unnecessarily. The show was worth a watch.
Alien Abduction (2014)
A sci-fi movie made for fools
How can a sci-fi movie be so foolish, if you're smart this movie doesn't convince you at all. How can a super intelligent being be so idiot that you can play a cat & mouse game with it all night in the woods? Aliens in this movie looks like a bunch of naughty kids who were on a mission to spook the family in the night that's it? Then an autistic child who completely looks normal doesn't wanna give up recording no matter how much panicked they were. Hiding, running, falling, hiding again, the kid never looses his determination to record and even that with perfect control over the camera. Movie starts and ends with a stupid footage in which a camera is sucked to an apparently alien ship which is located apparently in the low earth orbit and alien finds this piece an unusable crap so he dumps it in what looked like a trash vent lol and then the camera makes it all the way to the ground in no time, hits the ground but still doesn't stop working....that's one tough a*s camera and this is one dumba*s movie. If you're a sci-fi lover and really understand the science, stay away!
Krrish 3 (2013)
I want to appreciate the efforts but I can't, sadly the movie is flawed in every area.
As an Indian, I am a big admirer of all these projects like Krrish, Ra- one etc. so I watched this movie without waiting for reviews, I kept low expectations and yet its utterly disappointing. I understand that such projects require a big budget, but the movie has so many flaws that this 'budget' excuse does not justify it anymore. At least one area where Bollywood is good at, 'Music', could be original, but no! From the initial credits where they play the spider-man theme music till the end music 'book of Eli' theme, the whole movie has bits & pieces of some Hollywood movie. Another confusing fact about this superhero Krrish is that his powers are not defined. Every Hollywood superhero is known for his well defined power, they have strengths & weaknesses. But nobody knows what Krrish is capable of, in some occasions he can't outrun a slow moving car and at some other times he is faster than light; sometimes he has to put all his power to move a truck and sometimes he would move mountains (a metaphor not literally); the superhero in Krrish(2006) who had powers like captain America, has turned into a superman in Krrish-3, now what's next? total BS. Please, define this superhero's powers properly. And please Mr. Rakesh Roshan, don't make our superhero cry like a toddler all the time. Talking about Kaal, I kinda like the villain in this movie and Vivek Oberoy deserves an applause for his acting and dialogue delivery. Whenever the dialogues were lame, well its not Vivek's fault. Mr Rakesh Roshan had so many powerful mutants in this movie, he could have used each one to give at least one small round of fight, but most of them were just wasted. Once again, zero innovation and zero originality cannot be justified by the low budget excuse. I did not put reviews earlier because I want this movie to make money and I want Mr. Roshan to make Krrish-4. And i'll watch Krrish-4, again without waiting for reviews, but if I see the movie & music is again borrowed by Hollywood, I will immediately put my reviews highlighting all the cons to make sure our people know what they are going to see, once Mr. Roshan work on these areas, the movie will appeal to another big segment of viewers who watch Hollywood movies regularly. Just show some originality and make your movie attract the intellectual viewers.
