  • A Classic Dark Comedy Before It's Time!

This show was a precursor to "Six Feet Under" and never really got it's due. Honestly, our world wasn't quite ready to laugh at death and the funeral industry in 1990, and those of us that did couldn't keep this show from dying...pun intended. Howie Mendell was cast perfectly as the 'intruder' to the family business. And how I've remembered his line, "I'm going to put the FUN back in FUNERAL". Gosh, aren't we all trying to do that today with all the videos, photos, music, displays and other gimmicks used at viewings and visitation? If anyone reading this knows how to purchase this series on DVD, I'd love to find out how! I can remember true belly laughs watching several episodes.

  • You'll Hold A Grudge...

If you go see this movie you'll be holding a grudge against the movie theatre, the director, the producer, the actors and the person that told you to go see it! Shame on you, Sarah Michelle Geller, for putting your name and face to this poor excuse of a movie. It may have been more scary if the Japanese actors would have just spoken in Japanese instead of attempting to 'act' in English. I wanted to boo when the movie ended...a true disappointment after all of the hype on TV and movie trailers promoting this lame money maker. Sarah Michelle really didn't have to act at all to make this movie...she just practiced her frowning skills. Don't waste your time or money on this film.

  • Reviewer finds fascinating

This movie has all the ingredients needed to keep me totally consumed in the plot! The sexual tension and mystery were captivating, not to mention the most attractive cast of both men and women. The surprising twists to the plot made it even more satisfying. For me to stay awake until 2:30 AM it has to have something special. I had never seen Joseph Fiennes work previously, and found him to be a great casting choice for the character. Refined, yet ruggedly handsome, he allowed a constant impulsive mystery to surround his portrayal of the character. This kept us believing in the plot, even though we ended up being misled. The female roles were equally attractive and played off one another and Joseph very well. Full of romance and seduction with a touch of crude violence and mystery...what more can you ask for?
