Neat entertainer with solid debut from Mithun Prakash as Luka who hits it out of the park with his elegance. The small moments are meticulously written and interwoven with the story. The coastal areas are beautifully captured which almost gives us a feel that we are right there amongst the fishermen and witnessing their daily lives. Vincent Selva as usual gives us a tightly packed entertainer as he did with Youth. Mithun Prakash as Luka reminisces vintage Vijay and the co-stars have also given a brilliant performance. Nowhere it is felt that we're witnessing debutants. They've literally brought the characters they've potrayed to life. Bottomline: A neat family entertainer.
This Italian Holocaust movie will make you to smile, laugh and cry. This movie is about how a Jewish father(Guido) tries to hide the true situation in the concentration camp from his son by tricking him into believing that they're playing a game thereby sheltering him from from the horrors around them. What I love about this film is it's a beautiful juxtaposition of love and happiness in Guido's life in the film's first half and horrors of Holocaust in the second half of the film. The ending will tear you apart for sure.
I've seen Parasite,Marriage Story,Uncut Gems,Joker,Endgame,Knives Out,Ford vs Ferrari and many other good films in 2019 but Irishman and Lighthouse are the overrated ones.
