  • And to think that I didn't want to watch Dragonball: Evolution...

Given the fact that there is no "0" nor negative scores on IMDb; I just went and raised a star on every movie I've ever rated here, because after watching T2:TROTF i honestly believe no other picture deserves a "1". This is the worst movie ever. Not the worst movie I've ever seen, the worst movie ever made. Normally I disregard trolls and people who just go and throw a random commentary like that, but now, I feel powerless beyond belief, beholding this crime against moviegoers.

Even if you thought the first one was good, this one is going to disappoint you to tears. If you felt N#1 was awful (like I did), this should be obvious; don't commit my stupid mistake; at least the first one had John Voight blabbering stupidity. Even though I feel happy because he isn't around this one to further tarnish his career, my heart bleeds for John Turturro, who's role here is even more idiotic than the one he had in numero uno. Not even Megan Fox's Bayesque cleavage and bouncing is a good enough reason to suffer through this.

Story? Plot line? acting? None. None that you can understand at least. Everybody is terrible, but specially the lead. Just wait till Shia starts acting possessed or whatever (man I wish I could kick his butt!) and claims that he just read a book in two minutes and found that "Einstein was wrong". Your IQ will go down just by hearing that. A special mention should go to the main character's parents, a couple of the utter-most imaginable annoyance.

OK, maybe you're saying "hey man, you are a retard, you went and see Transformers expecting plot line??!! it's about FX!! Well, I'm not that naive of course, so that was my original thought. And no, not even what's supposed to be the movie's forte was good. Action was stupid and senseless, trying to catch moments of brilliance of far superior previous movies like 300. Na, here you have Devastator's Scrotum (textually), and a couple of the most racist clichés made into robots.

You don't believe me? well, just go ahead and watch it. Go and watch how bumble bee has been demoted to an even more stupid scoobby doo. Look how Optimus Prime has become a bully with a gun.

I just hope this flops at the box office. Not because I want Micheal Bay to stop making movies (even though I do), Not because I want these awful, awful 2 hours and a half of disastrous boredom to lose money (I don't really care). I want this to flop because that way, I would know there's still some notion of common sense around.

  • I am sure Wes Andersson made this on purpose... (Spoliers ahead)

Steve Zissou is determined to find the shark that gored his long life friend and blow it with dynamite. And through the whole movie, he searches for it, wanting to get revenge. He loathes the shark, he only wants to destroy it, to hurt it, to make it PAY...

But when he finally sees it, when he is finally in front of the shark, he is stunned... he is out of words... and he has no dynamite...

He can do it, for many reasons, but the main reason, is because he has seen the beauty of it, and found how empty he would be, how stupid he would feel if he did it, if he even still had the desire of doing it...

The same thing happened with me and this movie. I really wanted to hate it. I needed to hate it. But I couldn't. Cuase it was beautiful, and honest and... and the shark scene, was like a mirror... Of what a great and marvelous thing I was witness of...

    I felt... free...

so I came and wrote this review. I hope you can appreciate this movie as I did. Totally recommended...
    The Vision of Escaflowne (1996)

  • Beautiful, tears roll down my face...

"The Vision of Escaflowne" is by far, one of the best anime series I've ever seen, and in my heart I still feel the many, many emotions it awoke on me.

Kanzaki Hitomi is a cheerful and athletic girl who is about to confess his love for his "sempai" - word used in japan to describe someone superior - Amano, Captain of the race team. But that day she receives visions about a young man who's preparing to fight a dragon in order to become king.

It is easy to see where this goes: the usual story about a girl sent to another world. However Escaflowne is far better than what someone would expect. And this superiority lay upon it's characters.

Van Fanel, the young prince, is a guy with a troubled fate, who in order to become king must kill an earth dragon, a hunt rite that his elder brother failed to accomplish.

Allen Schezzar is a Caeli Knight of Asturia, a powerful country, who values chivalry and honor, even when he's labeled as a traitor for his own country...

Folken, a mysterious and cold strategist of Zaibach a nation determined to conquer other countries, has a dark and mysterious past, but his actions are guided but what he believes is best for others Dilandau Albatou, is a twisted general of Zaibach, consumed by madness and blood lust...

I could go on, the series is full of great characters, even if they just walk by.

And the feeling I got while watching it, was that of an infinite sadness, maybe because of the story, too real and sincere about human nature, or maybe because of Yoko Kanno's magical and haunting soundtrack. But I know it was mainly because I knew there were only 26 episodes, and the series was bound to end too soon.

A must see, it was Beautiful, tears rolled down my face...
