... it really is an astonishing performance on her part. Karachi, as a character in the story, is also well portrayed in all its grittiness. One can almost smell it. One could tell that the producers, director, actors et. al. deeply cared about the story, as Pearl's abduction is very sensitively handled.
However, given the particular qualities of the cinematography, the tons of ackwardly long street-views filler, and the randomness with which the movie trips along, it felt more to me like a shallow documentary than a feature film.
