so the story begins in time when has no really borders in "Latgale"(its one of 4 regions), "Latvia" and people wasn't know where actually began they territory and where is the neighborhood territory, so surveyors came after request and sad this is yours and this is yours, but if that all was so easy this movie(and book either) wasn't never came out;) so in "piebalga"(its one village witch actually is really popular nowadays with they brand Beer("piebalgas alus") witch is one of best brewery in "Latvia"(but thats not whats about story in movie), actually this 1st Latvian Roman, this movie is one of them witch has to watch if you are going in high school, so many people know(maybe not really movie, but book for 100%) this movie. the whole story is based on hate, jealousy and many mysteries witch has happened in they village. if you will get this movie i think you wouldn't regret it;)
