Years & Years is a fictional, but very real feeling satirical drama. I was immediately intrigued when I first heard about its airing. As a big fan of Emma Thompson, I had to tune in. I was not expecting to be impacted as much as I was.. From start to finish Years & Years pulls you in. Expressing everyday fears that we all share, this show holds a high amount of relevancy. This show will make you Angry, Sad, but also Hopeful. Our future can be scary if we don't fight for what we love and hold dearly to our everyday lives. Years and Years gave me hope in a very dark time in World History. Anyone who needed hope after the 2016 Election should give it a watch.
It helped me remember that the real power is actually in the hands of the people.

I was not expecting to feel so emotional about a concert film.
My Grandma kept telling me I had to watch this and I kept pushing it off. I was never super into David Byrne but I also was not well educated on his work prior to watching this.
From the start American Utopia captivates you. Just with the untypical stage presence and comfort of the cast makes you feel right at home. David Byrne takes you on a beautiful journey on what it's like to live amongst all the chaos going on in the world. Not only how to change it, but how to embrace the beauty of it all.

I'm a fan of the book and a fan of the '94 version simply for that 90's Stephen King feel. This adaptation was not bad to watch and actually quite easy for me.
ALTHOUGH- I have to say I do not like the way this version portrays the Captain Tripp's incident. They kind of make it seem like the viewer is supposed to already be familiar with the situation. I'm not sure if this was edited post Pandemic, but my assumption is that a lot was edited in light of the Covid-19 epidemic.
