I think it is a good movie but there are things which bothered me.
First of all, Patrick as an old man?????
What was that???? Even we he was younger he lost half of his hair and now as an old man his head is full of hair???? OK, he may have gone to Turkiye to have hair transplatation but...
The shape of his face also.
You do not change Like that as you get older.
All in all, choosing these two actors as young and old self was nonsense, big nonsense as they have not a single thing that may connect them (through the time).
Not sure how they let this obvious 'mistake' happen.
Harry as Tom was good. I think I also saw him in some other movie, bit here he was better.
Also, they hid all his tatoos very well. I did not notice anything on his torso/arms.
But!!!
They should have done better cover up for the legs.
All in all, good but...
The ending was a bit whatever.

I will start by saying that I expected a lot worse. But like REALLY REALLY a lot worse, but it was not. Aside from nudity, there were no other 'issues' with the film despite eating human feces, violence, rape and other terrible things.
Why?
Because everything is done so amatherish that I start to view the film as a bad comedy or a parody.
Let's first start with big, fake male members on boys! Like, what the hell was happening with that!?!????? It was silly. Laughable. Then all those scenes with human escrements... Man, they could not even make it look like a human feces???!!! That was obviously a cake. Or something - nutela (first version)???
Then story telling by those women. It was absurd. But in comical way. Or even pitty bad acting!? And the ending!!!! What's your girls name? Marcella or something. Two boys dancing at the end? Like what was that and why was that the end?
All in all, I can see an 'artsy' side to it. As I am an artist I recognized works by Fernand Leger, then italian futurist movement and similar. Cubist paintings and drawings. Some scenes were really artsy and enteriors are strange, but sometimes beautiful.
In the end, only that 'president' guy was disturbing because he was really ugly. But I guess he stands in the opposition to all those beautiful boys.
5+ from me. It is interesting in a way, but it is rather amaterish and silly.

I just saw the film and I really loved it.
I remember that the book (which I read a long time ago - maybe some 10 years ago or something) was really funny and I enjoyed it so much that I had to buy it. However, I do not remember the end of the book, but I am 101% sure it was not like in the movie.
Anyway, I liked the setting. Everything religious is very appealing to me, though I am not religious myself.
The acting is great. The pace of the film is just how it is supposed to be. Very artistic. Maybe they should have just filmed more scenes of the Sistine chapel. But maybe it was not filmed in the real one.
All in all, I recommend both the book and the film!
Nine from me.
