Insipid film with bad acting and a bad script. Despite this, one gets the sense the director thought he had an ace up his sleeve here. It's also cruel and the psychosexual stuff doesn't work. The whole thing is an uninspired mess. Avoid.
A fraudulent documentary that uses CGI throughout and tries to peddle it as real footage. A high tech con in which there's endless talk about cameras and their capability to capture in low light. Yadda yadda. Most of it looks like a bad video game. Shame that it's fooled so many.
The film is a nonsensical take on homeschooling with a good dash of the Oedipal complex (often portrayed in North American films) and features an overbearing, wanton, and abusive mother as she desperately tries to control her son and make him a man. The film is not funny and almost every directorial choice is wrong. Nebbish stuff.
