Some critic reviews astonish me. There are many movies that do not deserve the bashing they receive from professional critics. Although some of the listed movies aren't grade A exceptional, I still found them entertaining and worth the watch. Frankly, some are my very favorite movies. This list is in progress.....

I'm not a "scardy-cat"....I don't mind blood and guts when it adds to the truth telling of the story. I just don't see the value of excessive blood/gore when used purely for shock or gross out intent. The movies I have listed here are not free, of blood, guts, gore or violence, but in my opinion, contain just the right amount to effectively and realistically tell a good scary/dark story.
