This is not really a movie but more a collection of split-screen two-second-scenes that have been stitched together. The viewer is watching Windows Explorer, Skype-calls and other apps in a very, very unpleasant tempo. This will not age well. To be honest it looks dated already right now. It could have been a nice and refreshing new take on the classic, it became a ver, very hard to watch neurotic ADHD thing.
Halfway season 2 and still hoping and hoping for it to get funny. I love the concept and had high hopes. Haven't we all met met completely useless and irritating real estate agents? To me this could have been an Office-like mockumentary. But it just never gets going. Maybe it is because it is so over the top. Or maybe because some characters (like the boring-you-to-death Sophie) are horribly irritating. I read comparisons of Jamie Demetriou with Steve Coogan. Well, not in a hundred years. I also see other reviews that say that season 3 is the best. I'll try to get that far, but can't make any promises.
I always like a good disaster movie. Volcanoes, tornadoes, asteroids... the more the better. It's more about the spectacular scenes than Oscar-quality acting of course. But this...this was really bad. Typing this I am looking at a CGI scene of an airfield with a C-17 aircraft and some military tents. It is like a bad animation movie. Or a photo of a scenery built with Lego. Another scene has all kinds of aircraft in it, it feels like you're switching from a real movie to a cartoon-like experience. What a waste of money and energy this is. How can anyone who was involved in this movie think they would get away with this?
