If you ever watched SAO, then you know that anime is not a true Isekai but still SAO is a interesting concept that has Excellent MC Design, Excellent MC's Waifu Desgin with a great storyline and great action adventure in the VR world. There is a seriousness and dept to it. Well, "Shangri-La Frontier" is the opposite of that. The MC's character Design is just Lazy and Pathetic. His backstory is pathetic as well. He plays all the pathetic games that no one plays. When there are perfectly good AAA VR games exists. And when he finally start to play a AAA game, there he wears a "Bird mask" and no clothing or armor. It's seems like the writer intentionally did this so that the MC's mouth won't have to be animated. Nor his clothing or armor need to be animated. Saving money in anime production. Even his first Waifu Design in the VR World is Lazy and stupid and nonsense. She wears a huge male Armor that should not even fit her. And we all know in Game World all female armor and clothing supposed to be skimpy/lightweight in design. That is just common sense. And the writer makes her run fast with that huge male armor which is pure nonsense. Well if you want something different and awkard that normal then this anime is for you. This anime is also a comedy. The MC's talks too much even in battle, and he talks with himself. If you think about it, it's actually good that he wears a bird mask all the time. So that we don't have to suffer watching his mouth running all the time. There is a reason Good AAA games MC don't talk. And the writer didn't knew that.

Ultimately this anime is about a guy who plays pathetic games decides to play a Popular AAA VR Open World Game with a Bird Mask and no clothing or armor. No lives are at any risk here. It's just a game. And the MC wants to beat it. Although beating the game accomplish nothing. No one is actually in danger. There is no real plot here.

First of all, the writer of this anime need help. What's with the weird brother-sister romance! This is the worst thing of this anime. But there are more. The MC is totally boring and uninteresting. He never smiles, never get afraid, he is like a robot. And he can beat up anyone. I mean we love OP MC. But there are settings for that. I know looks don't matter much. But this MC, he looks boring. Then there are Fake Magic ! The writer confused advanced technology with magic and made this hybrid sh**t. He thought it might be cool. Well, it's not cool, it's boring and nonsense. Isekai, Adventure Anime Fans beware, this Sh**t of anime does not have any Adventure in it. It is mostly unnecessary boring talking and some boring fight scene, the weird brother-sister romance shi**t. All within the school. There is no actual story here, that you can follow. Just by looking at the anime name, I thought there is a MC who is different and interesting, who study in a Magic High School in order to fulfill his mission or dream. No such thing exists in this anime.

I guess, the Irregular is the brother-sister romance.

God! I got bored real fast with just watching the first five episode. I managed to survive watching all the episode by fast forwarding. Don't waste your time with this shi*t Trash of a anime.

At first episode, the anime felt interesting like it's gonna be an Isekai, Fantasy, Adventure like anime. But it's not Isekai. And for some reason I felt boring. Most of the episode felt needless. If you just watch the first and the last episode, it would save you a lot of time and you would not miss anything important. The MC in this anime is not likeable at all, well at least to me. I think the girly boy in the MC's team was the most boring part. The writer made a girly boy who sounds like girl with a weak physical body a swordsman, not sure what's that about. It felt so boring to me. Previously I thought character design and personality does not matter if the story is good enough. But now I know. Silly character design can a make a good story silly and boring. The story did not felt good. It would have been if the MC was really serious. But he acts silly, with his silly team.
