Anja & BS på afveje

  • A Professional soldier and a TV-journalist in the wilderness

BS Is a Professional Seal (DK: Jæger-soldat) who is well known through out Denmark. These program series did even more to make him a common known face. "Anja og BS på afveje" is only the first series of two. BS later went on journeys with Signe Svendsen too.

The concept is that a classic big-city girl (in this case a journalist) and a hardened professional soldier have to team up and experience nature first hand, when nature stops being pretty and starts being rough. The two take off to Antartica and other places to experience how surviving demands a lot from you when there is no warm cozy living room, no bed, and no kitchen.

The series was a huge TV-hit and many people sat down in front of the TV when this showed, and felt really good about having a kitchen, warm cozy living room and a bed.

Unfortunately Anja Stensig couldn't keep up and after a few episodes she dropped out of the series. But actually she was already a replacement of another big-city girl who dropped out, at the very moment they were going to tape the series. So she came a lot further than her predecessor. Only problem is that Signe Svendsen who followed in her footsteps was underestimated and really came through and tried a lot.

  • The hardship of being Debbie

Every Dane who was born and watching TV when "Alle elsker Debbie" (Everybody loves Debbie) aired remember watching it.

The Series is build up around Debbie who is a young Danish teen living with her mother. Her Mother finds a new man who moves in with them, and he has a good eye on Debbie. He is very sleazy and you can't help but hate the guy.

Debbie now tries to live her life without her stepfather getting his hands on her. She is in the classic dilemma of not being able to stand living with this situation and not being able to get out of it without hurting her mother.

The story is heart gripping, and even for todays higher standard, you can't help but to feel sorry for the poor teen.
