Sarah F. Katz is an American author, producer and screenwriter. The founder of Candid Bay Productions, her work draws from the evolving global impact of technology, following work at NASA and in content moderation for Facebook during the ongoing privacy controversy.

Katz’s medical Sci-Fi thriller short Rationale, adapted from her short story of the same title appearing in Thriller Magazine, is currently in production. Additionally, her alternative history short script The Sun Cipher earned Best Short at the Near Nazareth Film Festival.

Ever inspired by her career in technology, Katz seeks to showcase both observed and personal experiences of women and minorities in the big tech arena through a dystopian lens. To that end, she has produced INTO THE VALLEY, whose script placed as Semi Finalist at the Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival, the Zed Fest Film Festival and Official Selection at the American Screenwriters' Conference.

Finally, she served as screenwriter for the in-development Sci-Fi family feature The Adventures of Tom McGuire, co-produced by Kirk Thatcher and Martin G. Baker of The Jim Henson Company.

Her non-fiction work has appeared in Cyber Defense Magazine, Dark Reading, Infosecurity Magazine and Tech Xplore.

  • High-quality indie thriller

This film definitely keeps you guessing. While it initially seems apparent who the antagonist might be, it's surprisingly refreshing to learn the twist.

The visual editing and sound design are strong, leading to a suspenseful atmosphere accompanied by a subtle yet unnerving musical score.

The acting is also natural and believable. While the story itself might seem simple upon a glance, it definitely throws you for a loop.

The acting is well supported by the directing and cinematography which helps to enhance the overall mood in making us care about these characters. Evidently a newcomer, the lead actress gives a strong and impactful performance.

    Well done!
