The lack of knowledge of the auctioneers in this programme is frankly quite astonishing. They actually referred to something dated 1790 as "17th century". They don't appear to know even the basics about the items they sell.
Also, why do so many North American "autioneers" use that ridiculous fast talking way of selling during the auction? In my part of the world the only folk that do that are auctioneers at cattle markets, antique and fine art auctioneers speak at a normal speed to ensure that there's no ambiguity.
Is this really the best Discovery can come up with? I remember when Discovery produced quality programming, rather than the rubbish they produce now. Sad really.
