I never even saw this movie when it was released although I am in it.
In the basement dancing scene I am front and centre for a few seconds...the awkward one that looks as if he might be able to dance. It must have been brilliant acting because I couldn't dance...then or now!.
I got the part because I was dating the producer's daughter and if I remember correctly they paid us $40 and took back $20 as I had to join the actor's union.
That was the end of my acting career. This movie and many others are freely avaible on the National Film Board of Canada site if youu wish to see them.

Imaging and REAL army allowing it's soldiers to go into battle-cell phone at the ready.
In the middle of a firefight you can and do call the wife back home to see if the kids are taking the garbage ALL THE WAY to the curb.
This is an updated version of the many, many 'hero' movies made by John Wayne and others like him.
If you want anything even SLIGHTLY more realistic than Call of Duty, then move on. THIS is just as true to real life as Call of Duty.
There are many, hundreds of worthwhile war movies...but this is NOT one of them.

This police drama was intended I believe to be a competitor for The Bill/
Sadly they missed the formula which worked so well for The Bill.
That was 60% police actions of one kind or another, 30% administrative grumbles and problems and the remaining 10% romance in one form or another.
This, on the other hand is INCREDIBLY heavy in administrative drama and problems...to the point where I began to fast-forward through the lengthy boredom.
Personal and romantic issues takes up the next largest portion of the alloted time followed by a too-small segment of real police wortk, be it boring or exciting.
How this garnered 8 out of 10 is well beyond me and I think, compared to the few great ones out there, it's actually worth about a 5 or 6.
Worth a watch but keep the FF button close at hand.
