Like many reviews, the first hour was fantastic. Really nice pace of character and story development. The second half got mediocre, but still worth watching to the end. The make-up is truly impressive. Acting is decent to good. You root for certain characters. So yeah, you get invested.
Nothing super spectacular overall (could have been!), but nowhere near as terrible as many other movies in this genre/type of movie. Don't mind the hateful (non-constructive) critics and decide for yourself.

Where do I even begin? Like many reviews here, the premise sounded strange and intriguing enough to start. I went in with zero expectations and after the last episode of Season 1, I am begging you, Netflix. You've funded some ridiculous shows and movies. Sweet Tooth may be your best release yet. Season 2 needs to happen. The character development is beautifully paced, and I found myself rooting for all the main characters. Played a lot with my heart. I really can't wait for Season 2.
I'm a big fan of demonology, exorcism, possession, etc. Movies. There are very few movies that capture my full attention simply because they are either too predictable, same old plot recipe, acting is meh, or really stupid character decisions.
Belzebuth is nothing super remarkable in terms of plot, but it definitely drew me in. I loved that it was set in Mexico. I love the various cultural factors at play and how they added depth to the story. Movie had me rooting for all the human characters. One of my favourite horror scenes yet.
I recommend this if you are a fan of religious horror, looking for a solid plot with very likeable characters.
