Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Subspace Rhapsody (2023)
Absolutely ridiculous
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
This was just lazy, unnecessary, and insulting.
If reality is going to be turned on its head, at least make it realistic. Instead this episode used it as an excuse to use a tired cliché to try and boost ratings.
I'm not sure who they thought they were trying to attract with this episode, but it definitely wasn't Star Trek fans. My nine-year-old daughter might like it though.
Gene Rodenberry would be rolling in his grave if his ashes weren't in space. But I can guarantee you he would not be singing while he was doing it.
I'm all for creativity but this wasn't creative. It was just ridiculous and unnecessary.
Mission to Mars (2000)
Ahead of it's time
This movie is highly under rated, and ahead of it's time.
This paved the way for The Martian, Gravity and many other movies that came a decade or more later.
It's not a space adventure - it's a thoughtful and intriguing look at what 25 years ago the future could bring. And from an entertainment standpoint... It did.
With lesser actors, yes, this could have been a real clunker of a movie but the cast were exactly who they needed to be, and you can tell they took the movie seriously.
No, it's not. 2001 a space oddity, Star wars, or any other movie that will stand up forever. But it's definitely a great movie.
That '90s Show (2023)
A great job at what could've been a disaster
Reboots are always dangerous. Especially when it's a reboot of an extremely popular show.
I think they did a fantastic job. They hung onto the that 70s show style, the old cast appearances made sense and weren't just there to placate fans of the old series, and the new kids, each have their own personalities and work together well.
The stories were interesting enough and the comedy was just as good as the original.
Very well done and I hope there will be a second season. It definitely deserves it.
I think that users giving this low reviews are just missing the old show and not judging the reboot on its own merits.
First Man (2018)
You will believe a man was depressed on the Moon
Wow. Everyone is depressed in this movie. I never knew space flight was such a drag (pun intended).
I've been a follower of space flight and have seen every historical movie about our journey into space.
Never has it seemed so depressing,
I'm not sure what they were trying to show here and although I don't excpect or want any fictional adventure or "Ti infinity and beyond" cheerleading... I definitely don't want to see a NASA where everyone is down in the dumps about everything they do.
Some very poor choices almost made this unwatchable. Such a shame for a movie about man's greatest achievement.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: Suspicions (1993)
Completely ridiculous episode
This episode is ridiculous.
- There is no reason someone needed to pilot the shuttle. Do they not have Autopilot in the future?
- There is no way a test like this would be performed without any planning and contingencies in case of failure
- There's no way a major scientific advancement would be handled Willy- nilly by ONE scientist, Ferengi or not.
- There's NO WAY Beverly Crusher would even be involved in this.
Just poor writing. Could have been a good episode if they didn't turn it into a Beverly Crusher showcase.
Dune: Part One (2021)
What is this even about?
I watched the entire movie and I still have no idea what it's about. Apparently some kid is "the one" (whatever that means) so he has to walk in the desert.
Ummmm - ok?
Pistol (2022)
Lightening strikes twice
The Sex Pistols were much more than a band. Even more that a "statement". They were a movement that we're created by the times, the fashion, the location, the band members, the clubs, the (mis)management and the politics.
This series feels like another culmination of the right script, director, actors, consultants (and NOT the wrong consultant) and again the audience and politics.
Lightning can definitely strike twice.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
It's time to kill the Marvel cash cow
This movie had a ridiculously boring plot, filled in with fan service that just doesn't work, and has you wanting it to just end already as the 2 hour disaster feels 2.5 hours too long.
Enough already. End this declining Marvel universe already.
The Orville: Shadow Realms (2022)
What happened to this show?
What the heck happened to this show? It went from fun and hugely interesting to bland and cliche.
Note to Seth: Dude no one cares about the Doctors relationships or even the doctor herself. She's a weak irritating character. Please stop focusing on her!
The show has changed from a Star Trek:TNG style to Aliens. Such a shame.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Children of the Comet (2022)
Juvenile lazy writing and horrible acting
Great visuals don't cover up bad lazy cliche writing or bad acting.
What a coincidence. Her first away mission just happens to end up being a rock with writing all over the walls. Good thing she's a linguistic.
Oh! She just happens to hum all the time and... wow, the graffiti room RESPONDS to music.
Starfleet it turns out isn't a professional organization but a bunch of millennials who's every scentence has to be a sarcastic comment or a joke.
More garbage wrapped in a pretty bow.
Moonfall (2022)
Waste of a great ide
Amateur writing. Amateur directing. Stuff just happens... no character building, nothing is cohesive. What a waste of a great idea.
You can see where they wanted to go with this but they did NOT get there.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
Oh look another WOKE TV show
Another show wasting its time showing how woke it is.
There's no reason to care about any of these characters. And the mother is extremely irritating.
Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber (2022)
Insulting to anyone with a hint of intelligence
This should have been a great project but it feels like it was written by a junior high school student. Full of grandstanding and cliches. Not as good as it's cast.
The Verdict (1982)
Completely unrealistic and stylistically Ridiculous
This movie was depressing, and completely unrealistic.
There is no way a judge would act the way the one in this movie did. I also don't know why the court was straight out of 19th century England.
I'm very forgiving on movies but this one was honestly pathetic. If Paul Newman hadn't been in it I'm sure that its ratings would be much lower than they are.
It's insulting to the watchers intelligence.
Another Life: Live to Fight Another Day (2021)
Wow, they listened.
I'm so glad I didn't give up on the show after the horrible first season.
At least as of this first episode of season two, they manage to clean up Dash or rather clean out some of the deadweight, brought in some new life and had a crisp engaging plot without the boring teen soap opera garbage of season one.
I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with this.
Surviving R. Kelly (2019)
Horribly executed
This could've been a great documentary but they stretched it out way too long Dash I'm guessing for more money, and the pacing and editing were really bad.
The Innocent Man (2018)
Important story stretched out way to long for ratings
As most everyone has said in their reviews The story is so important. People need to know that there is corruption in support of law and order.
But it seems that for the sake of ratings and money the series was stretched out way too long to the point that it gets so confusing. Timelines are out of order and information is repeated in so many different ways that you lose focus.
I hope someone else does this properly so that people can really see just how corrupt the system is.
Star Trek: Voyager: Spirit Folk (2000)
Unoriginal and uninteresting
Another holodeck malfunction Star Trek episode. Boring and unoriginal.
They could have solved the issue with a delete key. Something I wish I'd had while watching this waste of airtime.
Star Trek: Discovery: The Sanctuary (2020)
I'm done.
I'm done.
I mean... we're done.
I mean... they're done.
I'm not woke enough for Trash Trek: Wokeovery.
(out of respect I whispered this review).
Black Widow (2021)
A Boring Mess of a Movie
What a boring piece of trash. A movie thrown together for the sake of throwing together a movie. No plot. Cardboard characters. Spoon fed CGI. Sarcasm for sarcasms sake.
It's time to get off this ridiculous comic book action movie train. It's dead. Let it Rest In Peace and find some new creative filmmakers with something valuable to do.
Enough is enough.
Loki: For All Time. Always. (2021)
A 7 episode long trailer
So apparently Loki season one is a seven episode trailer for future movies and TV shows. Cause NOTHING that happened all season makes any difference to the finale, and the finale makes no difference to the season.
Marvel has become a template of itself.
Seungriho (2021)
Surprisingly great movie
A surprisingly great movie. Star Wars meets Guardians of the Galaxy!
Watched it in English and for the most part they did a great job overdubbing.
Solid movie that deserves more attention.
The Hungover Games (2014)
Relax people it's a spoof.
One of the best spoof movies ever. It's called irony folks! So good.
Last Chance U: Jimmys and Joes (2018)
Better than any football movie
This episode was incredible. You couldn't write a better football story. This was real!
The Family Man (2000)
The movie that led to my princess
When my wife and I saw this movie we both knew that we were ready to have our daughter.
She's 18 now, and still my little Annie.
