George Lucas did something clever in 1977, he made a western in space. This point was seemingly missed in the most recent trilogy and more than missed in the prequels ( much of the prequel experience felt like you had accidentally tuned into the finance channel - discussing a new trade deal ) however. This gets it right. It has a dark tone, coupled with intreging, western film inspired story line which, along with rogue one, I can say is the best star wars adaptation since the original trilogy.

Yes, this film is violent. It is not a masterpiece of writing, it is not a masterpiece of cinematography and is by no means a complex drama about the human condition. The pretentious side of me (which I hate to admit is a significant part of my personality) should dislike this film. It really is not my general taste in films at all. But, as much as I should dislike it, I can't help but absolutely love it. It is, although not in anyway a masterpiece it is truely, unobjectively a really enjoyable movie which I cannot help but enjoy. I love this film and it deserves far more praise than it receives.

After years of not quite being where it should be, it's finally where it needs to be, brilliantly entertaining, exhilarating and informative, with the most laughs I have had in an episode of top gear potentially ever. Top gear is not a car show which is entertaining, it's a entertainment show that has cars in, and that method is finally back. Can't wait for the rest of the season.
