I'm just so sick of these series aiming to provide an authentic representation of a crime but failing to respect the supporting aesthetics. For example, this episode is set in 1983-1984. Yet all of the hairstyles, fashion choices, home decor, appliances and even vehicles in the reenactment scenes are obviously from the twenty teens. It's so distracting for me and obliterates any sense of authenticity they're shooting for. Was there no money in the budget for wardrobe/props people? It would literally take less than a day of research to nail down the necessary 80s visuals. At least attempt to set the scene properly. It just exudes a lack of commitment to bringing the viewer into the story and taking us on a journey.
Ugh. I sincerely do not care what happens with these boring and one-dimensional characters.
I'm so bored, I'm offended.
Halfway through and I'm turning it off.

I love this show. But I hated this episode. Why did they portray Balki this dumb? He's a blithering idiot in this one.
Balki and Maryann have been dating for years. All of a sudden he has no clue she has feelings for him? All of a sudden he's flabbergasted that she loves him? The continuity is joke.
So frustrating.
