All the claims the show makes about how "it takes more money to manufacture and maintain a windmill then it's carbon offsets would recoup in 20 years." Nope, it only takes 5.3 months to recoup the offsets, and that includes tearing them down. ...and "if we started tomorrow, it would take 30 years to build the transmission lines for alternative energy." Well, we already have started. Measuring by "tomorrow" isn't accurate, because it has already started. Plus, he's in the wrong business, if he thinks building transmission lines involves less infrastructure than drilling for oil, and fracking. It's not like they're just mistaken. The information in these speeches can be debunked with some pretty light research. However, I'm sure these false points will be memorized and repeated by climate denialists in arguments. The same people that mock others by saying, "I know it's true, I saw it on TV," will be swallowing this nonsense whole. ...and these aren't even spoilers. They use this dialogue in the show's promotional material.
