Outstanding and developed script with unexpected twists, turns, highs, and lows. Noah, played by Louis Ashbourne Serkis, shockingly portrayed all the motives of his young, immature, but questionable character. I was looking for a little more dialogue, but Serkis is very dramatically expressive and had me on a rollercoaster of varying emotions and tears. My heart sank at the ending, a must see! Sheridan Smith carried the weight of the series and did an excellent job communicating the main objective of her character as Noah's mom. A little more direction would have covered up a few poor character choices here and there but overall, a 9/10. Perfect for audiences who love a dirty drama and want to get down to a gritty verdict.

I was let down. The set, makeup, and marketing pulled me in, until I realized there were historical inaccuracies. I'm not sure if the idea was to play out the American Civil War with pirates and brigands from France and England, but that is how it came off. ...Awkward. Louisa Harland is an actress newly in the spotlight, but her portrayal of Nell is almost emotionless and leaves much more to be wanted. On a good note, Disney executed some excellent fight choreography that I think children and families will enjoy. I am not so sure about the the light orb. I think that was supposed to lure the audience in but may have backfired.

This made-for-television adaptation of Alice In Wonderland is a true gem in every language! Its artistic vision is timeless, even though audiences may find its humor too dry.
