Okay, I am very aware that this movie is pretty awful. And funny enough, I don't care for Katie Holmes or Marc Blucas. But I can't help but watch this when I'm alone and no one else knows. Michael Keaton is good as always. And even though the whole storyline is completely ridiculous, there are some very sweet moments. The biggest problem with this movie is simply the very weak script. However, the good news is that regardless of the script and some of the actors, it can't help but have some guilty charms. I don't think I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have genuine guilty pleasures. Real ones. Like that George Lazenby is their favorite Bond. But it's a cute movie that I think younger tweens might enjoy.
The biggest problem with this show is the lead actor and the actress who plays his girlfriend. The show starts off slow but with a great guest star in Kate Burton. The only redeeming aspect of the show as far as I have watched it so far (7 episodes), is Monroe the wolf. He is exceptionally good and deserves better writing and better co stars. The other half decent thing is there are sometimes good guests (I am particularly fond of Currie Graham). I'm not convinced, however, that wolf man and good guests are enough of a draw to slog through the otherwise atrocious acting and writing. It's a shame as it's a good premise. Very disappointed. There are much better procedural shows and also better shows that deal with supernatural or otherworldly beings. Lucifer immediately jumps to mind.
