Writing is disappointing. Why would you give away who Abby is from the very beginning of the episode instead of building her and her team like total strangers and shock the audience with the things they do later on? It was really a bad decision. The game did it better by slowly building everything.
Also the beginning of the game with Joel telling what went down to his little brother was much much better. Writers need to learn when it's not broken they shouldn't try to fix it.
Acting is so flat in this episode like they stopped caring about portraying their characters. Especially Pedro Pascal. Younger ones' acting also feel so.... fake.
They made Ellie annoying. She acts like a spoiled brat, doesn't follow orders and risks the lives of people around her but somehow everyone looks up to her and her friend Dina.... Did Craig Mazin forgot how to write stories? I really hope not.
Also I gotta say it again: portraying a strong female character doesn't mean they need to have a scene where they beat a man twice their size. It comes out so fake and cringe especially knowing that the skinny Ellie in the game hides and carefully and slowly hunts down her enemies Of course you can go full action with her but especially after playing as Abby you can easily tell which character the developers made for stealth gameplay and which is made for action gameplay.
It feels sad knowing that this episode could have turned out helluva lot better but the writing, directing and acting really took a few steps back from the 1st season.
I'm gonna watch the next episode too just to see the notorious Golfing scene, and then maybe I'll continue, I don't know, I'll see.

The first season is at least feeling-wise the closest one that is to the movie. Billy Bob Thornton is amazing as Lorne Malvo, not just him actually the whole cast is amazing.
The second season is my personal favorite, Starting from here I think Noah Hawley doesn't just get some story elements and scenes from the movie Fargo but from like all of Cohen's filmography, those of you who have seen the show would know what I mean and it's a good thing. Acting is amazing as usual along with intriguing storyline that keeps you hooked up from beginning to end.
The third season is where things slow down, but Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ewan McGregor and especially David Thewlis as V. M. Varga are AMAZING. And I love the cinematography of this season, and I think this is the best looking season of Fargo.
The fourth season is the worst one. We went from subtle dark humor with great stories and interesting characters to fart jokes with cheap mafia story and uninteresting, annoying characters. Also with his squeaky voice I just can't take Chris Rock serious as a mob boss.
The fifth season is kind of mid for me, I remember liking it while watching weekly but when I tried to remember I realized nothing much stayed with me after finishing the whole season. I loved the character Ole Munch, he is the only one that's interesting with all of his background, and other than him the show is just filled with one dimensional weak male characters and girl bosses that have laugh-inducing plot armors.
I'm glad the show's ended. It had almost perfect run. Still win-win actually cause we have 3/5 amazing season here.

Apart from having just a slight bit of pacing problem I think this movie doesn't have any flaws. Directing is spectacular, cinematography is amazing, acting is great, some people laughed at Lily Rose' scenes where she has fit, doing weird faces and all that but I thought those scenes were creepy and made me feel sad about how Orlok's sickness affected her.
I also love how Robert depicts Orlok, he is literally a rotting corpse struggling to draw breath and he is the true embodiment of what a vampire was like back in old folk tales.
Big surprise for the young folk, vampires weren't originally good-looking, sexy beings, they actually represented evil and sickness and some were believed to be magicians that chosen by the devil itself and taught dark magic in a school called Solomonari. Orlok is one of those magician vampires as it's mentioned in the movie.
I also want to add that people who complain about the mustache and hair and Orlok's outfit should probably check out how Vlad and some Romanian lords looked like from the time period that Robert drew inspiration from. A noble vampire that's lived for centuries in Romania would have probably looked exactly like Orlok.

SEASON 1 of True Detective is my favorite TV show of all time. And just like Rust said time is a flat circle, season 1 of true detective is my flat circle and I return to it at least once in every year.
From music to story and especially, ESPECIALLY THE CHARACTERS ARE SO AMAZING.
I love how well-built Rust, Marty and Maggie are. It really feels like I'm witnessing real people's lives unfold as they try to solve a macabre case. I love Rust and Marty's talks. I love how Rust has so many layers that it's never boring to see him expressing his ideas and experiences, I could actually watch him talk for hours. The things that Rust mentions like the futility of life and how everyone builds personalities in their minds and thinking they are somebody when in fact everybody's nobody, and how he says people who expects a divine reward for good behavior is in fact bad people and how religion dulls critical thinking etc. I can give so many examples of amazing dialogues from season 1 but I don't want to waste anyone's time reading them here, yall can actually experience the show on your own.
And when the first season's finale hits, I'm always left with this huge empty feeling in my soul, the feeling that I get everytime I finish watching/reading a masterpiece.
SEASON 2 on the other hand left me feeling confused the first time I'd watched it. It was way too crowded and rushed, I felt like it needed more than 8 episodes, maybe like 12 episodes to properly lay out it's story and give us a lot more time with characters so we could care about them properly. Things happen too quickly and unless you really pay attention to the names of the characters and always have mental pictures of them on your mind you could easily get lost in the main story cause they like physically appear once or twice in the show and then they're only just mentioned by name, but I still loved this season unlike the rest of the fans cause I gave it a second watch soon after the whole season's finished. I know it's way too different from the first season and I quickly put myself in the mental state of not expecting to get another 1st season of True Detective, you know.
SEASON 3 was a different case. I remember liking it while it's aired. Intro was amazing. Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff did great job but the pacing is little bit off. The story that unfolds doesn't have much meat in it, and Nic wanted to disappoint the fans by building the case up like it's gonna turn out to be a cult-like thing like the one from 1st season, they even mention Rust and Marty but then we find out it has nothing to do with cult at all, although I didn't expect to watch another copy of the 1st season, this fake-build up is just sound so lame to me. I know I said the actors did a fine job, but the characters themselves are not that interesting to keep my attention all the time.
People said this season is like GOING BACK TO THE ROOTS. It's not really. It's the most boring season out of the first 3 and I see no reason returning to this.
SEASON 4 is where things get messy. Nic left the show and HBO hired another writer to be the new showrunner, and instead of bringing an interesting storyline with layered and complicated characters for the show, the new writer decided to write toxic male characters and give them female organs and bragged about writing ''strong female'' characters. I knew this season's gonna be a huge failure the second I read a quote from this new writer about the first 3rd season being all sweaty and male and the last season being cold and female. It's really sad to see all these people who can't see stories beyond the organs between actors' legs. It's sad to see that female writers don't know how to write strong female characters even though there are so many amazing examples in movies and TV shows(for example Ani from 2nd season of True Detective, our beloved Ripley from Alien movies, Bride from Kill Bill movies, Xena etc.) and it's sad to see that this new writer doesn't know how to build up an interesting macabre case and everytime she runs into a plot-hole she just fixes it by saying ''Oh Ghosts did that'' and yes, there are now dancing ghosts in this show that help our detectives solve the case by pointing them to certain clues instead of telling them who the real killers are.
OH MY GOD, you can't believe just how many plot-holes are in this mess that I don't even wanna call TRUE DETECTIVE. And how pathetically they bait us in by showing spirals, talking about Rust's dad, Tuttle organisation etc. So we fans can keep on watching with the expectation that this is gonna tie in with the 1st season. If you're so simple-minded to not see beyond actors' organs between their legs then why are you using materials from their season in yours to attracts the audience? Are you really that p*thetic?
It's sad to see how this show is butchered by people who are incapable of telling stories. They can only dress their half-built ideas about racism and women and men as flat characters and shove them down the throats of the audience. And it's more sad to know that these people are also responsible for the next season of... I don't want to call what they're doing True Detective cause it's definitely not.
I'm definitely missing the quality writing of the 1st season, and I think I may never get it again, even from the original writer....

Am I the only one who thinks 2nd season is way too rushed? It's like they had enough story material to go for at least 2 more seasons but they just wanted to end the show.
We see Jinx and Vi fight on episode 3 and the next episode they quickly make amends and go after something else. And they introduce a kid that hangs around with Jinx, the show gives some brief scenes with the two in desperate hope of making the audience feel like they are now two sisters(mind you Jinx was cold to this kid the previous episode but suddenly she is now like sister to her) then the next episode the kid sacrifices herself for Jinx and the showrunners expect me to care about it just vause I saw some brief scenes where they hang out? What a joke.
And why the beginning of every episode on 2nd season are like some high budget pop music clips? I love how animators show their skills, I truly love their work but them scenes with those songs made me disconnect from the show.
Episode 8 was the worse if I remember right, it had more than one cheesy pop song.
I don't know, I feel like they wasted a good show, I think we needed at least one more season to flesh all them story elements out better and I think I'm minority about the rushing idea because people here gave 9+ to every episode.
Anyway, they're gonna make more shows about other heroes, I'm no fan of the game but I'm a fan of this show and I'll be waiting for the next one, hoping they won't rush them.

This movie mixes the visual language and eerie, atmoshperic music perfectly together and create a weird and shocking story. Other Texas Massacre movies also try that but it feels forced in them somehow.
Even though some of the characters fall flat on actually being character, I mean most of them just exist to get killed and it's fine for slasher movies of course, and sometimes they say cringy dialogues and act so childish. I must say they still all fit so perfectly to the frame.
Anyone who hasn't seen this one, and have no problem watching old movies, should definitely give a chance instead of checking out the most recent and awful Texas Massacre movies.

I can't believe I've finally found the most boring and useless Coen Brothers movie. But If you need any sort of background sound to help you fall asleep, you're in the right place 'cause this is your movie.
Let's start with good things though. Visually it's beautiful, costumes nd places are also great.
Okay We're done with the good elements. Now's the time for the worst side of this movie.
Except for the first two and the old man's stories. This movie gives the audience nothing but empty shell of characters who are not interesting at all and mostly talking nonsense throughout their segments with the best monotonous tone they could wear in their voices. And at that point, you might ask "well, maybe them segments are not character but story driven?" HELL NO!
There's barely a story there.
Just talking nonsense over nonsense over nonsense, oh indians! Shoot 'em, then talk nonsense again and again aaand the movie is over... Like I said, if you need any background sound to help you fall asleep, this is your movie. Other than that, I recommend you staying far away from this.

This is one of the best comedy movie I've seen lately. Everytime Chris Rock talked or tried to act scared or surprised, I laughed my heart out.
He is so bad, the story is terrible, rushed and acted out more like a child's play. And by the way, what the heck was that stupid puppet? They couldn't use the original one? Actually it doesn't matter, wouldn't fix this hot mess anyway.

From subtle dark humor with great stories and interesting characters to fart jokes with cheap mafia story and uninteresting, annoying characters. Wow, what a progress they've made with this show...
It's like they took everything that made the original one perfect and turned it into soulless money grabbing trash. Actually yeah, that's true, it's another money grabbing trash.
Whoever's reading this comment and haven't seen this movie. I strongly recommend you to watch/rewatch the original Lion King instead and pretend like this one doesn't exist.

Just watch the first 5 seasons that actually has a beginning, middle and end. Those are the seasons that really worth watching. And then pretend like the rest doesn't exist because each season after season 5 is worse than the previous one (especially season 12)
And that finale... Oh GOD!!! It's just doesn't worth it.
