Big fan of Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb look but this was very poor. Watched fbd first episode and the first sketch was literally poor toilet humour. This was followed up by poor sketch of swearing Aussie soap. Did intelligent people like Mitchell and Webb really write this? Or is it just using their names to get people to watch? Whatever the case might be this was yet another recent "comedy" that just wasn't funny.

From the trailer this looked decent.

Gave this a go on a Sunday evening with my wife as we wanted a comedy and to relax at the end of the weekend. Unfortunately, this wasn't a great comedy or even a good film.

With Will Ferrell and Reese Witherherspoon it has two strong leads who have done comedy previously but don't compare this to previous films they have done as this comes up short.

The plot moves noticeably fast to get from one poor joke to the next. The interactions between the families as well as within families are more cringe than funny.

Overall the jokes are just poor.

You'll find yourself mid-way through wondering if you should carry on and does this get better. Honest answer is no it doesn't and don't bother watching it.
