From the casual sectarianism in the first two minutes, through the murderer who really is an ex-spec ops guy with a bad luck story, and the bad guy with no morivation beyond 'be bad and look mean', to the seemingly bulletproof rescue team that a minor airline happens to have on standby within hours of the crash site, this whole movie stinks of cheap B-movie tropes and budget nonsense.
It continues to astound me that Butler gets work at all. His character is paper thin and he even seems to make that worse than the script could possibly have been by seemingly forgetting his raison d'etre whenever it doesn't suit the plot.
