Show concerns a woman who loses 8 years of most recent memories. She's a high-ranking but seemingly unfeeling doctor at a prestigious hospital. But what irks me and it's admittedly a small thing is that they just HAVE to have another cliched car accident. Tell me, how does a car which smashes head-on into a stationary and much taller vehicle (a big truck with a flat front) somehow manage to do the shop-worn Hollywood cliche of flipping sideways into the air and landing spinning? This tired, sad, silly accident trope HAS to end. For the show, it's ok. Towards the end, I actually believe the doctor is in the situation she's in and it is traumatizing, which it would be. But the cast of support characters so far are not particularly interesting. There is a cheesy sub-plot that will likely play a part in the show as it is ongoing. The problem is, I don't see where the show can go. In real-life, had this happened, the person if they have a brain would realize that things happened in interim 8 year span that would have changed relationship dynamics, people's circumstances, etc. They would ACCEPT this and it wouldn't open the door to any seedy, melodramatic things that in my mind's eye I can see coming for this show. But then if they just continued on with her resigning herself to reality, the show might be even slower than less eventful than it already is.
