Well...
2 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The 5th installment of the Rambo series and hopefully it's last. After ,Rambo', a fantastic action movie, now comes ,Last Blood'.The movie tries to get us emotionally involved into the characters and their relationships and that works for the first hour of the film, not always perfectly, but for a Rambo movie its pretty fine. Then the girl dies an John decides to take this from Rambo to Death Wish. The action is fine but not always good inscenated, the dialoges range between cheesy and unserious. Stallone tries to make this one so hard, brutal and dark, that it ends up to be even quite funny in some moments.

What worked wonderful for the fourth (and made him the 2. best after ,First Blood', in my opinion) misses here completely.

But, to be fair, the movie is still fun and entertaining to watch. This really shoulf be LAST Blood...

Tarzan
9 January 2019
One of my favourite Disney Movies. As a child i nearly watched every Disney movie, now that im in my last Teenage years i'm about to rewatch them all and the movies i still like the most are Lion King, Jungle Book and Tarzan. Probably Robin Hood too but i haven't rewatched it yet.

Tarzan is funny, interesting and brutal. There are scenes including the Silverback that even imonated me a bit. The scenes between Jane and Tarzan are even more funny for adults and i was very shocked to find out that the gorilla who grew up with Tarzan was a girl. I watched it in English for the first time today (i'm from Germany) and the dubbed version is a boy if i recall it right.

Beautiful
8 January 2019
Finding Nemo is probably the best Pixar movie there is. The story is so beautiful and humorous, although some scenes may seem very frightening to children (or adults ;) The animation is brillant but in some moments you can clearly see that it was one of the earlier trys on that technology.

All in all you can say that the film is not only for kids, also for adults (like every Disney or Pixar production). Simply a beautiful Movie

It's really not that bad!
8 January 2019
I liked the second Tales from the Crypt Movie even more than the first one. It was funnier, more entertaining and had more gore. It's a typical Horror Movie: less brain, more fun.

Just enjoy it, don't think about it as an high educational movie (i mean, why schould you?).

It has very good effects and is sexy too, just what you need after a long day of work!

Tales from the Crypt
6 January 2019
A fine addition to the great anthology series.

You see a group of people fighting against demons, just what the title lets you guess. Surprisingly good effects, fine acting and plenty of gore.

A good horrorfilm plus the Cryptkeeper, who could ask for more...

Django
4 January 2019
What a movie! Although i think that Django Unchained is still better, this one started it all. Before the endless movie that all had ´Django' in their title (at least in Germany) there was a small project from Sergio Corbucci and his brother. They brought Franco Nero in it and Movie/ Western History was written.

A dark, brutal ad gritty Western par excellence. Especially the last 20 minutes. A truly classic that has not just inspired Quentin Tarantino but other movie makers, who brought us the countless Django Movies.

Django is a core revenge Western, if you liked it you should also watch other Corbucci Movies like Companeros or the Great Silence.

Raw Deal (1986)

Not his worst!
3 January 2019
This movie is okay. You can enjoy it, just sit, watch and enjoy... Arnold made many movies over the last decades and Raw Deal is one of the less memorable. The action is okay and the soundtrack is very well. Beside of that it is an average 80's Action movie. If you are a Schwarzenegger fan you should watch it. If not, go try out some other Arnie movies like Commando or Total Recall

I would compare Raw Deal to Red Heat or Running Man

It's OK
27 December 2018
Jason Momoa literally is the movie. He carries it like previous Actionstars a la Schwarzenegger. He owns the funny, badass and emotional (well, his father too) scenes. Beside of that the CGI is well, somehow it looks amazing and totally childish at the same time. It's better than Batman v. Superman or Justice League. It also can hold up to some MCU flicks like Ant-Man or Thor. If you are looking for entertainment you may be pleased. If you're looking for a great Superhero-movie you'll be disappointed.

Oh and to all of us who were introduced to Dolph Lundgren through this film, do yourself a favour an go watch Creed II...

Die Hard (1988)

Oh god, Germany
24 December 2018
In Germany the movie had a huge censorship problem. The names were changed like Hans Gruber is John Gruber here, the terrorists are from east europe and not from Germany or the fact that the RAF was never mentioned. When you take these problems aside and watch the movie, like you always should, in its original language you will enjoy this great Action/Christmas Movie. It really started the big career of Bruce Willis, although it's been very silent about him in the last years. We see a fantastic Alsn Rickman and an Action Movie par excellence, with a hero whos more an average guy than a Stallone/ Schwarzenegger Hulk hybrid.

Die Hard and have a merry Christmas 2018

Thank you for this Movie
23 December 2018
I have to say, although i'm German, that our movie industry sucks... We are producing one unfunny comedy with Schweiger/Schweighöfer after the other and our glory days in filmmaking are long gone, nearly forgotten by some... but then there was Schneeflöckchen a brillant, funny and bloody movie from some friends who wanted to make something different... and they totally nailed it.

Well, the story was seen before but not with those twists and strange characters and on top of that, it maybe started a new wave of cinema for Germany, but we will see about that in the future. All i have to say is, that this is a fantadtic movie with a brillant ending and a bright future to look forward to.

Special thanks to Capelight, who made a cinema run for the movie possible...

Great and sad
23 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The Fox and the Hound is not Disneys best movie nor their funniest or their best known but the movie is brillant in its own way. There is the Story about two animals, wich are supposed to hate each other but become friends. As the plot goes on they get shown by their environment that they can't be friends and the Hound is stsrting to hate the Fox for a particular reason. In its best moments the movie really touched my heart and although the end is simple, its fantastic.

Fine Schwarzenegger
22 December 2018
In the long history of Schwarzenegger-movies, there are really great movies, bad movies and the fine ones. Running Man belongs in the last category. Although it can't catch up to Terminator 2 or Total Recall, it does s good job in line with Red Heat or Sabotage. It has everything you expect from it... Action, One Liners and a classic 80's future-vision.

So lean back, enjoy the movie and hail to the greatest Action Star. ;)

Watch out for the BOOMSTICK!
17 December 2018
Army of Darkness... Cool lines, great stop-motion effects and Bruce Campbell in best shape.

What do you want more from the finale of the trilogy that created a Horror-Movie Action Star. A Hero to cheer with in a slasher film...

Thank you, Sam Raimi, for everything.

The third installment had more laughs than the two before but for that, the Horror part was less. Nearly no Splatter sequences and just a bit blood. But none of this has really influenced the film in any negative way, all in all its just as great as the movies before.

The Evil Dead trilogy is simply amazing and one of the best Horror franchises ever, not because they are the best horror movies, because every part is great, not just some or the first one... Every movie is great in its own way, not many franchises can say that about themselves...

The only question thats left to ask is which ending is the best?

Groovy!
17 December 2018
The movie is basically like the first one but with better effects and more laughs. Evil Dead II is a Horror/Comedy at its finest. This film did set up all the hype about the franchise and it did its job very good. You will laugh, get scared and see some stunning effects for this budget.

Evil Dead II, the movie that we have to thank for it all.

A good remake with a few benefits
17 December 2018
First of all this is a good Remake/Reboot/Sequel.

It starts as an average Teen-Horror Movie and goes onto some fantastic effects and Splatter par excellence.

The story is settled after Army of Darkness and works as a Reboot/Sequel, although the movie takes some scenes from the original, it creates its own story with new characters.

Splatter fans will have their fun, as well as Evil Dead fans. Just give it a chance... it comes along with other great Horror- Remakes like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003).

Sit down, enjoy the show and maybe you'll even find some Easter Eggs.

Classic
16 December 2018
Evil Dead is a classic par excellence. The acting is ok, the plot well known and the effects are stunning (if you take a look at the budget and the production circumstances). Hell Yes, it's a great Horror movie. Although the second part was even better, the Evil Dead- franchise always kept itself interesting. A very good remake/reboot and a fantastic TV-Show... What do you want more from a movie, made by some friends after filmschool.

Great Cop flick
15 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
To live and die in L.A. is stylistic and tense, the story is great and Willem Dafoe is at his best. We have a great anthagonist and an inaccessable protagonist. Two cops which dont really know if they are working together or against each other and a finale that came very unexpected to me.

All in all it is great Movie, but not one of the best...

I am a person which knows two holidays, Halloween and Christmas. Seeing them both brought together is simply amazing. The movie is funny, entertaining, has very good animations and even better songs. The story is truly special and something new....

Better than the first
11 December 2018
The second Ant-Man movie is not a great part of the MCU, it´s important for what´s going to come, but it´s not a good film.

The villain was pretty weak, but we are used to it... The movie really tries to be funny like GotG, but he totally fails. I grinned two times in the movie...

But why is it then better than the first?

The most important thing is that it does not try to be funny no matter how, like the first part. The gags in this one just didn´t work for me but the best thing about the 2nd part is, that there is no tank!

All in all this flick is a very average MCU-Movie, but not one of the top spots. Watch it, because it´s important for the next ,Avebgers´, not because its entertaining.

One of the best films i have seen in a while
10 December 2018
I'm writing this in december 2018 and i have to say that this is one of the best movies i have seen in a while. The acting and the character of Martin Sheen is simply great. He plays the role so believable that you sometimes think he doesn't even act. Sissy Spacek is did a great job, too, but it really is Martin Sheen who leads the movie. The story is simple but tense, the characters are true and so great portrayed. You can really rely on the decisions and the thoughts they have and saying that about a murderer and his girlfriend is very strange. As his debut movie for the big screen, Terrence Malick gave us everything we wanted and more, simply beautiful...

Great Movie with some problems
10 December 2018
Even thoug Sweeney Todd may be Johnny Depp's best movie since ,Gilbert Grape', it is not a masterpiece. The beginning is one of the worst animated credit scenes i have ever seen, just like the blood in this picture. But the story of the Demon Barber is really thrilling, you can understand the serial killer and you may even support him. As the story goes by, there is a bit of a lack in the third quarter of it but the great and statisfying finale makes up for the two negative points i mentioned before.

Corpse Bride (2005)

Brilliant
9 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
First of all the stop-motion animation in the movie is perfect, nearly beautiful.

Tim Burton shows us an emotional story about a shy guy, who is pushed into marriage by his parents. In an attempt to practice his lines he accidetly proposes to a dead woman in the woods. Firstly disgusted by the fact that she is a rotting corpse he tries to escape her by running back to his living bride. He gets back to the world of the dead through his corpse bride and slowly starts to see her true colours. He is falling in love with her personality, ignoring the fact that she is still a corpse...

This movie is the perfect example, to prove that the old story sheme ,fall in love with the personality, not with the looking' isn't as dead as Victor's bride. The film is beautifully made, heartwarming, emotional and funny, of course.

I would say that everyone can and will have fun with ,Corpse Bride' Just enjoy it.

Raging Bull
9 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This Scorsese-Classic shows us an unsympathetic protagonist, who deserves nothing better than what the movie shows us. We don´t really want to see a happy ending for him but the movie manages to keep our eyes on the screen anyway. Although we don´t cheer for La Motta, we want to see what is going to happen next. Our eyes are watching him beating his wife, his brother, being an awful human and an even worse father, but we still want to see how the story ends. We don´t want to see him living a live in harmony, we want to to see him getting what he deserves.

Scorsese and DeNiro´s fourth colaboration can easily keep up with "Taxi Driver" or "Mean Streets".
