Keyke mahboobe man (2024)
A hideous dive into absurdity!
My Favorite Cake starts with a promising premise, but quickly spirals into a chaotic mess of implausible plot twists and nonsensical character decisions.
The rapid development of a deep romantic relationship within hours is simply unbelievable. The sudden and unexplained death of the male lead is jarring and lacks any emotional weight. The decision to bury him in the garden is bizarre and defies logic.
The film's descent into absurdity is further compounded by the unrealistic behavior of the characters. The character who digs the grave without question is simply baffling.
Overall, My Favorite Cake is a deeply disappointing and frustrating film. I strongly advise against watching it."

Dar Enteha-ye Shab (2024)
An unforgettable exploration of love and loss
I have never enjoyed a drama as much as I enjoyed this beautiful mini-series.
To me, it was a huge success. The plot was strong, successfully portraying the ups and downs of a middle-class family in Iran. A family that started out with the power of love and ended with the devastating effects of the significant differences between the couple regarding their view of life.
The cast was chosen perfectly. Parsa Pirouzfar played one of the best roles of his magnificent career. Hoda Zeinolabedin and the rest of the cast were equally outstanding. They beautifully played their roles, while also revealing the insecurities and hidden aspects of their characters to the viewers.
I cannot begin to explain how much I enjoyed the cinematography and the stunning shots throughout each episode.
None of this would have been as amazing without the great job Ms. Panahi did with her direction. I failed to notice any continuity flaws or blunders, and even if there were any, they were negligible.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this mini-series to anyone interested in a compelling exploration of the psychology behind many marriages.
After Life (2019)
A therapeutic love story
How could I give it only 9 stars? I mean, I loved it, but it took me 2,3 months to finish watching it. It's not the kind of TV show that glues your eyes to the screen and makes you binge watch a whole season every night, but it actually feels pretty good, to be able to relax and watch it every now and then.
There's almost no micro plot that you want to see through. It's a beautiful and expanded storyline that moves forward at a steady non-boring pace. I loved it, all the religious jokes, and all the drama. What got me interested most was the masterfully depicted pathway through stages of grief with no hardline prejudice to the scientific textbooks.
Moreover, it portraits love beautifully. From different angles and different ages and different forms. It makes you remember that you love people and you should let them know that. It makes you think twice before being harsh to a loved one.
The cast are great and Mr. Ricky freaking Gervais takes the big win amongst all. I couldn't really feel it with the shrink, but all else was pretty decent about the actors and actresses.
In all, I had a really good time watching the whole thing and I steongly advise it everyone.
The Good Place (2016)
A good philosophy 101 class
Would it be too strong of a start if I said this show changed my life for the better? I'm going to try and give an adequate account of the experience I went through watching this show.
This show was a brilliant mix of fiction, romance, philosophy, fantasy and comedy. It glues your eyes to the screen with the magic of cinematography and giggles your mind with the magic of storytelling.
While you're watching the personification of every human being's true hope, which I assume is the good place, you start thinking about the real questions suchas ethics, determinism, free will, virtue, the meaning of life and so forth.
The plot walks you through some deep philosophical points of view and given that you are a person who enjoys answering the big questions, you will somehow find your way towards a new world of knowledge you might not have been close to.
Moreover, the storyline is full of twists and beautiful moments that will melt your heart away, moments that make you laugh and moments that bring a few tears into your eyes.
In all, this was one of the best shows I have ever watched and will ever watch probably. It helped me figure out the answer to one of my biggest questions in life and I'm grateful for that. Thanks to everyone in charge.
Dark (2017)
An adequate visualization of the depth of philosophy
This show tortured me! It was not so good that I could enjoy watching every minute, and it wasn't so bad that I could just give up on it. It was so precisely put somewhere on that spectrum that I feel like I just sat throught half of it, liked a fourth and loved the rest!
My problem was the slow pace during almost all of it! Only in the last 3 episode did I get the pace I prefer and enjoy. The second season was just an slightly altered version of the first season and had to be cut much shorter in my opinion. The third season got quite interesting, however the first 5 episodes could've been just 2 or 3 at most.
On the flip side, I loved the depth of the theories and thoughts they went over and explained, it was so masterfully done that anyone who watched the show carefully could understand much more than just the gist pretty easily.
In all, fix the pacing and it's a 10/10.
Old (2021)
Complete waste of time
Let me start out saying that I'm a sucker for any movie that plays with the concept of time. I can't get enough of them, I'll watch anything about time, but this movie... Oh my god! It's the most awful thing I've ever watched. The story line is riddled with bugs, characters don't make any sense, storyline is an absolute joke, there has been little to no thinking behind the plot. The script is childish. From the beginning of the movie they refer to the story in almost every sentence, implying that time is short, saying that she wants to see her child sing when she gets older and things like this. The girl developes an adult character and adult thoughts in 5 hours just because her body has aged! With no experience she is thinking like and adult and behaving like one. Quite maturely! I can go on and on talking about how awful of a movie this was, but I've wasted enough time on it.
I just hope that the director, the writer, the actors and every other crew member there is, think twice before participating in a movie this awful in the future.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)
Laugh hard and enjoy something new
This sitcom is one of a kind, it gave me everything I was looking for. You're gonna watch a beautiful 8 year period with lots of laughs and cries. You're gonna watch your favorite characters develop and become better versions of themselves by each episode.
To give you a list of the most important facts about this show:
1. Fast pace: You don't get stalled to see something you're 100% sure is coming happen, except for only one part, everything wraps up quickly enough.
2. Masterminded criminals and detectives: you want to see some twists and mind-blowing details to feel intelligent watching a police show. It's got enough of that.
3. the heists: The amazing heists, full of twists and complications that would just mess with your head. For people who haven't yet watched it, the heists are just between the detectives and are a friendly competition.
4. Hilarious jokes, one liners, bits and wits: You'll get quite a few genuine laughs, out loud, seriously.
5. You connect with it on the first episode and you don't have to watch 3 seasons to feel a remote connection unlike most series.
6. Just like any other sitcom, you'll get your cries too, you'll probably shed a few tears, most probably while laughing!
I know this is not a complete review and is not enough for this masterpiece, but it's all I've got at this time. I'm just gonna go ahead and thank all the people involved in the making of this show for their amazing result, after a lot of years, friends has gone down in my rankings and brooklyn 99 is at the top.
