Reacher (2022)
Better
This TV show is more like the Jack Reacher of the Books by Lee Child, the Movie versions with the vertically challenged Tom Cruise were a travesty, I still have a few reservations about the way it's been done, but it will, I am sure get better, I look forward to season2.
Moon Crash (2022)
Awful
Another totally rubbish film from "Asylum" how this company stays in business eludes me, not worth the cost of the electric needed to watch it. Glen Campbell the special effects man does his best with the $10 budget per picture he is given, but terrible.
After Life (2019)
Absolutely Brilliant
I am a 68 year old cynical old git, but the last episode of Series 3 made even me cry, a super script, well filmed, well thought out, if this series did not move you, then you must have an heart of stone, the last 5 minutes of episode 6 were heart rending.
Landscapers (2021)
Unbelievably Bad
Apart from the two main actors the others were appalling especially the police officers, the script was atrocious, and the filming was tediously arty farty, they even managed to PC it, what could have been an interesting series was reduced to drivel, it was also one episode too long.
No Time to Die (2021)
A few niggles
A pretty good film, Daniel Craig picked the right time to move on he was looking his age in this film, but still put up a good showing, the cast was great apart from the female 007 who was badly cast and just did not fit, Art Malik was good as he always is, a good but not brilliant Bond Film, and may I just add the opening song was the worst for ANY Bond film.
Invasion (2021)
Where it goes
I am watching this out of curiosity, some of the character's lack charm to the point that I hope the Aliens get the Schoolchildren and eat them alive, it is of course PC and Woke, the American soldier is just an idiot, one of the Schoolkid's is beyond repulsive, the Japanese girl is a pointless character, it is now episode 5 and we are no nearer seeing the Aliens or finding out where they come from, I suspect a big let down for the finale. The latest episode is filmed in the dark so I had very little idea what happened, it seems to be a common theme with Filmmaker's at the moment to film whole section in darkness, does it save money? Is it for realism? Whatever the reason for doing it, just hearing grunts screams and thudding sounds but not being able to see anything is annoying and boring.
Queenpins (2021)
At Last
At last a decent film in what has been a year of mostly crap woke PC Breast beating rubbish, quite funny and easy to watch, I watch films to be entertained and for escapism, I do not watch them to be lectured to, and a film that was not filmed in pitch black darkness was a relief.
Halloween Kills (2021)
The End
I think this franchise has reached the end with this Film, Michael Myers has slaughtered the whole town there is no one left to kill. And what exactly is he? Man? Demon? What?, it is no longer (if it ever was) scary it has become tiresome, unless they can come up with a really dramatic and surprising storyline for another film, it should end here.
Copshop (2021)
Absolute
Absolute PC rubbish from start to finish with the silliest stupidest ending in recent movie history, the lady police officer takes more punishment than a team of rugby players but does not let that stop her, bullet in the stomach, just keeps on, falls 20feet to the floor WITH the stomach wound but keeps on trucking, takes two shotgun blasts to the torso which even with body armour would have put her in Hospital for a week, not her Oh no, it was like Wily Coyote cartoon, I kept expecting an anvil with ACME written on it to fall on her. Then walks out of the police station and hijacks the ambulance that is taking her to hospital, Gerard Butler must need the money to appear in utter crap like this.
Goliath (2016)
Brilliant show
I loved this series from start to the finish, the only niggle I had with it was that I thought the F word was overdone somewhat and did not add anything, apart from that it was faultless, I see why this was the last series as it would just be in danger of repeating the same storyline over and over again, but still sad it's finished.
The Card Counter (2021)
Why
Why was this film made? What was the point? A plank of wood would have made a more interesting lead actor, tedious and boring.
Pulk (2020)
The worst film of the year.
In a crowded field, this appalling waste of money and time comes out at the top of the field for the worst film this year by a BIG margin, utterly dull I fell asleep 30 minutes in when I woke up still nothing had happened my wife said, we watched the last 30 minutes at 2x speed and nothing happened, truly awful pointless rubbish film.
The Green Knight (2021)
Totally boring and tedious.
A waste of my time, lost the will to live after 15 minutes.
Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021)
A load of rubbish
Will someone have a word with Bruce Willis and tell him that he has to act, just turning up and gurning at the camera isn't good enough, the last few films I have seen him in have been bad, he seems to think just him being there makes the film good,
The Forever Purge (2021)
Good Wholesome fun
Far better than I expected, entertaining throughout.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
About Time
A great action film and about time, I thought all we were going to get were woke lecturing films this year with people whining about how everybody picked on them for one reason or another, you have to ignore the plot holes but it is SCEINCE FICTION after all, enjoyed every minute of it, a good cast, lets have some more decent films.
Alien Conquest (2021)
The Usual Rubbish
The usual rubbish from Asylum notable only for apparent hangover Tom Sizemore seemed to be suffering from.
Unearth (2020)
Depressing
A turgid depressing film, the Farmers generate little if any sympathy, the old bat that plays the mother has a face like a Bulldogs bum that has been stung by a wasp with an hat on, I was rooting for whatever it was that got them to get get them, and put them and us out of our misery, and for God's sake will filmakers stop this fetish for filming everything in the dark.
The Ice Road (2021)
Silly
As an ex trucker some of the sequences were very silly indeed, it was entertaining but predictable, Liam diving under the Ice to rescue his brother was ridiculous, when the trucks went on their side with loaded containers it would have been a huge effort to right them and taken hours, why in these films do they show them constantly changing gear? You put it in low and leave it because every time you dip the clutch you lose traction and slip, the ice road was thin but at times they drove side by side!! I laughed out loud in places especially when Laurence Fishbourne went under the ice pulled by his trailer you had to have an heart of stone not to laugh.
Songs for a Sloth (2021)
Why
Why was this made? If they want to throw money away I will have it.
Big Sky (2020)
Best TV show for years
A brilliant series, I have been a fan of C J Box books for years, and while I have not read this particular book, something I will swiftly rectify, I am overwhelmed by how well acted and cast this series is, I do hope their is a second series.
Shookum Hills (2021)
Might have been
It might have been a good film but I will never know, it was filmed in stygian darkness, who was doing what to who and why will remain a mystery, as I could not make out what was going on, and why did they not call in the US Army to deal with whatever it was? filming great parts of films in darkness seems to be a trend lately, does it save money on sets? or Lighting? I don't know but it is tiresome.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Very Enjoyable
A very good film indeed with the usual good acting from Peter Dinklage, and a feel good ending.
The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021)
Great Film
An excellent feel good film, funny entertaining, yes it's been done before, but this was done well.
School's Out Forever (2021)
Not Bad
A reasonably decent film, one of the few films this year worth watching.
