Record producer Dr Bones, who wears a dreadlock wig, signs a band called The Urban Protectors, they only appear to have one song but he is going to use it as the anthem to his zombie world domination, or something.
I bought this abomination cheap on DVD, I knew that it was going to be bad and indeed it was, truly Horrible! The acting is generally poor, the script laughable. The plot is off the scale bonkers. There are a couple of cheap gory bits, such as a head explosion but not enough to recommend this movie. The two girls in the band are attractive though. A lot of the running time is taken up with various musical numbers, none of which are phat. At 72 minutes the movie is mercifully short, however it could be argued that it is 72 minutes too long, you know what I'm sayin'?

"The known horror is nothing to the fear of the unknown."
Famous explorer Sir Clive (who has a very unconvincing British accent) accepts a bet to spend a night in the Chamber of Horrors at Madame Tussard's Wax Museum. Meanwhile his young ward and niece gets engaged to a conman.
This is essentially a crime caper with a little creepiness plus a dash of humour (the latter comes in the form of William Hartnell as a comedy reporter, years later he went on to become the first Dr Who). The bulk of the running time is taken up with the niece and her rotter of a boyfriend. For us horror fans (oh I do love those movies set in wax museums) it starts and ends at (the real) Tussard's. Don't expect any great frights but I did enjoy these rather brief scenes. Everybody smokes and speaks ever so politely, and as a classic car enthusiast I loved seeing the old vehicles driving around London in the mid 1930's. With its title I had hoped for more horror but at 66 minutes in length this is a passable old time filler none the less.

"I'll never know if I'm really myself for as long as I live."
Infinity Pool is set in the fictional totalitarian country of La Tolqa, the rugged coastal locations were actually shot in picturesque Croatia. American tourist James (Alexander Skarsgard) kills a man in a car accident but in order to avoid being executed he agrees to be cloned. However his nightmare is far from over.
I am a big fan of British Scream Queen Mia Goth plus I'm also a big David Cronenberg fan. Obviously he did not make this movie, his son Brandon did and so far I have been impressed by his directorial work. It is fair to say that I looked forward to watching this movie - HOWEVER having now done so I feel cheated! In the UK the BBFC passed it uncut but the Film4 TV channel screened the cut American Rated version. So my review is based upon that.
The plot is very original and unlike Brandon's "Possessor" it is easy to follow. Mia is brilliant yet again but the whole cast put in a good enough performance. Production values are all good, including the very gory special effects. The film features people wearing hideous masks that are brilliantly designed. I was originally going to title my review "Pool of Blood" because there is a great deal of it, along with some very strong violent scenes. The sex scenes were trimmed for the R version, one does go on for several minutes but it is very dreamlike and nothing can be clearly seen.
To summarise I was disappointed to have watched the cut version, however I still found it to be a very good film and I will in all likelihood seek it out on disc, in all of its uncut gory glory.
