The Lost School is a fictional drama very much based on actual events surrounding the small village of West Tofts. Smith captures a beautifully yet tragic story about a young headmistress encountering what is a devastating situation, to evacuate her new home and desert everybody behind. John Atkins' book is an excellent tribute to English history - I urge everybody to read the book version. Cast even though some aren't professional, they do believer a convincing performance all around, and of course we have wonderful music from Kevin MacLeod's royalty free website. It's an old film now but that shouldn't stop you from watching this.
Prime releases such original material that it's almost a delight or a disaster. This is not a disaster. Fighting Heart takes on many shades in the life of a dedicated boxer in the beautiful town of Norfolk. Our lead (Freddie Hogan) falls in what seems a bottomless pit of despair, pain and misery and sees his friends suffer through it as well based on the bad choices he makes. He copes with addiction as well as other sins he burdens during the breakup of his girlfriend (Jessica Dowden). I'm surprised there's hardly any reviews for this so I thought I'd leave one. Great film all and all. A grand shoestring success with its camerawork. Exceptional work to the team behind this production and I sincerely hope they make another film like this.
