My verdict after episode 4:
Mostly terrible acting, boring dialogue writing, very bad CGI... There are so many issues with this show: It's not scary, there is almost no tension and most of the characters are not interesting to watch - It's easier for me to mention the stuff I like than to mention all the flaws...
There is one scene where the editor did a great job with cutting to the sound of people clapping, there was something really unexpected happening in the first two episodes that I am not going to mention for spoiler reasons and a small storyline involving someone's parent was pretty dramatic in the first few episodes. There is also one semi-cool shocking moment in the middle of the season. But that's basically it - and even in the good moments the terrible CGI ruins it a bit.
Another big problem is that a huge part of the show just feels like a retelling of the movie - but like a much less good version of it.
In addition to all that stuff I got the impression that the show kinda breaks a part of the Derry/Pennywise logic early on - and not in a good way: After the first two episodes I no longer understood why the Pennywise character from the movies would not take easier ways to get his food - he seems a bit more powerful in this series.

Oh my god - I am so impressed by this film! I did not expect much but this was fantastic: The movie is tense, dramatic, shocking, funny and super raw/authentic!
The actors are great and their chemistry on screen is fabulous - It truly shows how great of a director Darren Aronofsky is: It truly felt like he got the most out of his cast.
I loved the soundtrack, cinematography and especially the high intensity plot.
Don't watch the trailer - My friend went blind into the film and did not regret it one bit. It's even better to avoid some small spoilers.

"Materialists" is brutal and honest, showing exactly what modern dating is like in a capitalist system where people are treated as commodities and economic realities dictate their decisions.
The film asks important questions without sugarcoating the reality we live in:
What is a good match between two individuals? What are people willing to sacrifice when choosing a partner? How do we have to modify ourselves to be confident enough to approach the other gender?
I have never seen such a raw movie about topics like this! The screenplay is brave enough to offend the audience and show the sometimes ugly reality behind our dating choices, while at the same time giving us a believable counter narrative.
What is love? When and why do we feel it?
The film goes beyond telling a love story with brilliant actors and beautiful cinematography, it actually offers the audience a chance to self reflect on their behaviour and choices in life!
