The have been a lot of Shark movies since thew legendary JAWS hot theaters 50 years ago. Some are good. Some are horrible. This one is very good. It actually pulls the concept from Jaws in the sense it goes back to a historical episode of World War II and combines the tension of a Great White Shark for a thrilling movie. The movie takes place in Australia/New Zealand in 1942 and it is tight and engaging. One of the strengths of this one is that the filmmakers opted for Practical rather than special effects. They work. Had I seen this in the theaters I would one scared. Worth seeing.
This is an excellent rock n roll documentary. The subjects of the film are John Lennon and Yoko Ono during the height of the Vietnam War and Nixon Administration. The film contains excellent film clips, news footage, and phone conversations. There is a lot I learned here. It is a great look at America at the time. The musical sequences are priceless and fantastic, but integrated into the documentary it is high, high level of entertainment.
This is a unique and well done thriller about a woman and mother on a first date after her husband's death and some time. She becomes embroiled in a literal game of life and death as she is stalked by an unknown person who is taking control of her life. The execution is unique and compelling despite having to suspend belief. The acting is good.
