The film has a good premise (I did not know the history of Dantas and its List) and in this question ends up having its merit. However, the script too didactic, square and the performances and production of novels took all the brilliance that the narrative deserved. It has good inserts of scenes of the time, interesting testimonies and some very few critics to the government of Getúlio Vargas that, for general knowledge, end up working to demystify a little its exaggerated popularity (for those who do not know much about the period of its government and its characteristics) and the role of the French government during the Nazi occupation.
Good mix of thriller and drama. Although a litle predictable, it ends up honestly portraying Suzanne's difficulty in doing justice, the historical animosity between Britain and France, and the hypocrisy of bureaucratic institutions and the press. Interesting.
