I absolutely LOVE this show, but this episode was the worst of the entire series. Not season, SERIES. Felt like it was written and directed by Tarentino (not a compliment). It was an irrelevant side plot that meant nothing until the last 3 minutes. It was utterly tedious with drawn out and stereotypical "bad guy monologues" that lasted 95% of the episode. The cheesy music, the lightning/thunderstorms, like the movie Clue, lol. Tried waaaay too hard to be different. Just skip to the last 5-10 minutes and move on.
Decent cast on paper, but the writing is beyond garbage. As far as an "action movie", you'll be immediately disappointed in the first 10 minutes, and it continues to go down hill. As a "heist movie" it's typical, dare I say cookie-cutter. I was so bored by its mediocrity. Halfway through they try to give a slight bump in storyline, but it eventually falls flat.
I was actually surprised that this was released in 2010. It feels more like a late 90s early 2000s film. It's bland and lacks any depth. Reeves proves once again that hes one of the worst actors of all time, except this time the script doesn't save him. Farmiga is excellent, as always, Caan is just ok. I watched because of the cast and the fact that I've never heard of it. Not worth it though. It's definitely not a comedy. Not a heist movie. It has some semblance of romance I guess, but doesn't fit the romance genre either. With no identity and barely any direction, this film is void of anything interesting (aside from Farmiga, who I kind of feel bad for her after this).
