Watched this movie as Jaya Bahaduri fan. This 1970 movie is from FTII, a very short 16 minutes black and white film shot in a rural village. Nuances of a growing up girl are very well shown by her. It seems like this film must have been a project for FTII students and indeed task seriously taken by all concerned. This film hardly has any dialogues but feelings are very well depicted by actors, especially Jaya B. 'Suman' is worth seeing for Jaya B, FTII's efforts, typical Indian village and acting in that order. It was a pleasant surprise to see it on YouTube free of cost. A must watch for once.
Jaya Bahuduri's name made me see this movie. Liked this movie for its:
If there was an English name for this movie, then it would have been 'Nostalgia'. Wonder what was the reason to give the name 'Sadabahar' to this movie, other than the Sadabahar songs we heard in that old radio. This film does not fall under peculiar Bollywood movie genre and wonder if such movies ever make money or at least break even. Such movies are made for passion, so kudos to the Producers. Imagine the radio repairer is placing an order for tea with a whistle, looks so authentic in such environment.
We are left with words 'Replace not repair' that hang over our mind. Recommended for one time watch.
- Story (though slow, but very close to reality)
- Acting, all across was excellent including the maid
- Locales seem to be too REAL

This movie should be seen for 2 main reasons:
1. Based on true reformist movement 2. Aamir Khan son's debut
This movie keeps one glued till the end to see unknown history of the last century. Junaid Khan justified his role and what a start of a new career with such a historic film. He doesn't have the looks of his Father, but doesn't lack in acting, lays expectation of a long career.
Kudos to find such a hidden story and all the actors justified their performances. Sets and songs were good, however bedrock of this movie is true historical facts. Thanks to YRF and Aditya Chopra. Last but not the least Netflix.
