The patience has finally paid off with the wacky animations of PSG finally coming back with a bang, and wrapping up the unexpected cliffhanger from the last episode of the previous season. Taken up by Imaishi and Trigger after Gainax's fall, I'm glad the show wasn't dropped despite the long wait.
Kinda felt let down to find much of the English voice cast not returning for the second season, including for the titular three characters played by: Jamie Marchi, Monica Rial, and Christopher Sabat. They did make the difference with the dub first season.
Regardless, it had been very dynamic throughout the episode with crazy animations and new cool tunes. The nostalgia hits hard after the wait. Season 1 happened a long time back, and looking back to its continuation after all the while felt refreshing, and made me come back to the old memories.
Looking forward to more madness ahead.

This episode hurts every time I visit on a rewatch. This time was no different. If S3E12 ('Regulus Corneus', the latest episode released by the time I write this review) marks a high point deserving after the wait through hell, this episode is hell in itself.
This episode marks the breaking point in the first Season and gives contention in the later seasons as well.
The high praise of this episode is the psyche that surrounds all sorts of emotions heightened to a level above all others. Happiness, hope, pain, and madness - the right recipe for an emotional roller-coaster.
Pathos concludes the great execution of this episode at an epic scale. And a lot of despair. I often regard the great, and excellent episodes to move people beyond their expectations, much more than mere entertainment. And this episode has achieved that.
SImply madness!

Three seasons of hell finally paid off! All major and other pertinent characters have a say in this episode, and I am not talking about Subaru or Emilia alone.
This Episode was a decisive one, not only for Season 3 but for the previous two as well. Everything's coming full circle, especially for Emilia and Subaru. Seeds of characters sown from the previous seasons, including Petelgeuse/Betelgeuse, Fortuna, Rem, and Crusch amongst others, have received their fair shares of redemptions, and with a proper deal. But enough said on the plot.
Great episode, great animations, good script, great action sequences (notable mention - Emilia), and a great resolution to a long build-up.
Four more episodes for Season 3. Expecting great outputs ahead, considering the consistency of the season.
