Some pretty full on homosexual sex scenes, however these weren't out of context and were in fact in context within these S&D relationships.

The story and excellent acting was thoughtful, interesting and made for a thought provoking journey. A great character story, of relationships on several levels, power, past damage with an interesting view of the sub dom relationships, and what might make these so.

A little tough to watch in places, but a very worthy watch nonetheless. 6.5/10 would be my rating if I could use a 0.5.

5 mins in I felt this would be right up my street. Let's be straight, this isn't an easy watch, or much of a laugh. What it is, is beautifully shot, brilliantly acted, and a visceral journey through addiction / alcoholism.

It's artistic, thought provoking and sad. Saying I enjoyed it, would seem empty, and untrue. But it was worthy and deep. An intellectual, sometimes painful journey of an alcoholic lost and struggling to cope with life, like many with experience of addiction would recognise. Like a child trying to live as an adult in a grown up world.

I would definitely recommend this to those looking for "more" in their films. Who want and enjoy artistic, well acted, gritty and thought provoking content. If this isn't you, it will be a tough watch.

I do love a war type film.

Made using these soldiers memories. This is not the oh so common story of superhuman soldier's, fighting impossible odds after being shot 94 times!

This is about the human experience of their piece of war. This is my view (not having been at war), but is certainly seems breathtakingly real, from the thudding of the PRM machine guns, the squeaking of highly armoured vehicles, the boom of high powered guns. This is a viscerally tense film that was at times uncomfortable. Showing men's lives change in real, unglamorous conflict, and true life or death instances.

This is as much a film for sociology, and human understanding as it is for those wanting to a "war film". It is interesting how this does not detract from their heroism, seeing their real reactions to the sometimes, horror of war.

Recommended, especially on the big screen.

A well deserved 8/10.
