I came into this expecting a horror comedy- something similar to Megan or Companion. Instead, I got a movie that doesn't know what genre is and just fails in every respect.
Is it a depressing, creepy horror movie that comments on the complexity of brother and father relationships? Is it a graphic horror comedy that mocks the genre? This movie doesn't know what it wants to be, so you get a strange mix of overly serious and stupidly comedic scenes. Add in a dragging plot, unlikable characters, and long flashback sequences, and you have the formula for a crappy film.
The only good part is the deaths. Those were pretty creative.

This movie is pretty much a rip off of the movie Lowlifes- except less gory, more funny, and a higher budget. I suggest going in blind to avoid any spoilers.
It's hard to discuss this movie without giving stuff away, but basically it's very much a horror comedy that isn't meant to be taken too seriously. It plays on some classic horror tropes but also has some genuinely creepy and off-putting moments. The comedy is pretty well done, as are the horror moments, and it was ultimately a good way to pass the time.
The only downside was that it was a bit predictable. But maybe that's because I've seen too many of these types of movies.

I have nothing good to say about this movie. I've seen erotic thrillers before, and I think they can be good when there's chemistry between the leads and the plot is engaging. Unfortunately, this movie missed the mark in both respects.
The main actors had no chemistry whatsoever. Their scenes were uncomfortable to watch. She had more chemistry with her husband whom she's supposedly not attracted to, which makes it almost impossible to care about the main characters at all.
There's also no interesting plot. They could've done so much more with the boss vs. Intern trope, but they didn't. They had a good premise and they dropped the ball.
Yes, I recognize that there are deeper messages to this movie regarding shame and purity and whatnot. Doesn't change the fact that this wasn't fun to watch.
