After a series of small roles as a teenager, Reese Witherspoon burst onto the scene by starring in “Cruel Intentions” (1999) and “Election” (1999) in the same year. She solidified herself as a leading actress after her performance as Elle Woods in the iconic “Legally Blonde” (2001), which she went on to reprise with “Legally Blonde 2” (2003). Her memorable role as June Carter Cash in the biopic “Walk the Line” (2005) won her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
